I've been playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, finishing up a few remaining Side Ops and missions. I've also been playing Gears of War: Ultimate Edition online multiplayer. Double XP weekend baby! WOOOOOOO!!! Grinning

Is there a major difference in the visuals for Gears? Or is it really just a better frame rate?

Oh yeah the visuals have been improved quite nicely, cleaner, sharper textures and better colour. It looks very good.

Digital Foundry did an article/interview over the remake, and basically most of the stuff in there are completely reworked assets.  They kept the base code, but upgraded the majority of the assets.

Bart Smith is selling a PS4 Fifa 16 bundle.  a new 1T PS4 model, which is also more power efficient and runs more quite, with a physical (I think) copy of Fifa 16 for €369.  That's €30 lower than a base model and the cheapest I've ever seen it anywhere.  I'm halfway tempted, but for some reason I find myself leaning more towards Xbox this gen.  Althought that's probably heavily influenced with Xbone's backwards compatibility with 360, of which I have played nothing as of yet.

What are you guys playing this weekend?  I've finished up any loose ends in MGSV and finally created a level on Mario Maker. Gg, this is our chance to liven up the news section.

Pipe Dreams is the name of your level? That's also a Porno. I hear, at least.

Bart Smith? Sounds like some random school friend. I wouldn't trust a store named that.

I've been playing tower control on Splatoon on Urchin Underpass and the new Bridge stage.

So I went back to the 96 gal for Urchin and did really well. But then on the bridge stage it is bloody USELESS. You really need to fight from the top level grating but because it's not solid you cannot ink it and move fast, you have to run soooooooooooooooo slowling with the 96 because it is so heavy. By the time you are back in the match you are dead meat for snipers and such.

Also, my team is getting on my tits. On Blackberry skate park I had to take back the tower multiple times when it got near our end point. The one time I wasn't there, it got through and we lost. I don't know what my team was even doing.

First Star Wars has no single player, and now Rainbow Six?

Well, that's two games I can cross off my to-buy list.

Yes, you lot over the Channal have been better off with 'Game'.  They're name might be self-explanatory, but all I ever hear is people complaining about how bad they are.  Nyaa

Ah ok, I kind of figured they did that from the look of the game.

Screw that....Unreal & Quake were doing this 17 years ago. Its just dumb for games in some franchises to not have a campaign.

Oh that Top 100 modern day game list from Edge is certainly unique. Seeing Limbo and Journey on it made me cringe a little. It doesn't overly offend me though. Kind of makes me want to dust off the Top 100 I was working on earlier in the year.

I was just posting this to get some discussion going, since I've seen some people here who feel that way.  Perhaps I should have said 'do you feel that mario maker has been priced right?'

The game basically is the same price as splatoon here, were it not for the fact that they're selling it bundled with the art book.  If you go look at the Eshop, it's priced €39, exactly the same as Splatoon.
