SonicPD Blue?
I have been playing Rocket League. Trying to move up ranks, but so far it seems I'm stuck at Silver III. I also started playing Tera.
Iga_Robot I hope you have the grand canyon on your list.
And if in Southern California I suggest Disneyland (because Disneyworld is for losers), San Diego Wild Animal Park (not the zoo). Yosemite is likely too north for you, as would the redwood forests, which are also a good place to go. If you are a golfer, stop by Palm Springs for a day and night.
If going to Phoenix stay in Scottsdale and only Scottsdale. The rest of the burbs of phoenix are as generic as it comes. I used to stay in the art district, which also has legitimately good restaurants.
Only go to Vegas if you want to rant about US decadence for the rest of your life or you actually enjoy playing blackjack and all you can eat buffetts that provide a low level of food quality.
Skip everything else until you get to Florida unless it is New Orleans. (tongue partially in cheek). Once in Florida? I dunno, Cape Canaveral? Do they have a Litte Havana?
I beat all the available levels of Life is Strange and Bullets and Blues. The former is wonderful the later is excreable.
That's about it.
I have been playing Bravely Default on 3DS and Splatoon and Shantae:Risky's Revenge on the WiiU
Bravely Default is a beautifull game. Splatoon is still great fun, and Shantae is a nice throwback to simpler times.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Are Sony just completely retarded? I had my PS Plus set to auto renew....and it DIDN'T auto renew.
Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies.
On the second case, the 3D backgrounds are.... so gooood. I hate it when the screen is blocked by a character talking to you. The 3D effect, it's all drawn out so well too. So cool.
What would make them ever worse is if they deleted your cloud saves and digital library as a result.
So will be anyone be playing The Swindle? I saw it on the WiiU eShop a few days ago and have been following it for a while now. I'll get it later on as I have too much to play and too little time as is. It's a 2D steampunk, randomly generated burglar sim which sees you building up funds and upgrades over a maximum of 100 'days' to tackle its super hard final mission. It'll probably play similar to something like Spelunky, but mission-based. And I say probably because I haven't played Spelunky myself.
European downloads - September 24
OlliOlli (Curve Digital) - €4.49/£3.99 (Ends October 8, normally €3.39/£2.49)
Outside of playing a shitload of MGS5....I've also managed to get about 5 levels into Onimusha 4. Man, this one sucks compared to the others....no wonder they ditched the series. They completely stripped out the horror vibe and turned it into a really bland DMC wannabe.
Onimusha, that RE style Samurai game?
That's the one. They ditched the RE style in this one....unsurprisingly it came out in 2006. The first 3 games were much better.
So I've never experienced a pop up ad on a tv screen before & honestly didn't know it was even allowed.
I'm sitting here playing MGS5 when out of nowhere I get a fucking Toyota ad on my screen. I was like WTF is this?! I thought for a moment it was Kojima doing his usual crazy mind games....but no!
Apparently companies have started sneaking ads right into smart tvs....because you know, we don't see enough ads as it is.
You have to go into tv settings and manually disable that shit. Ridiculous beyond words.
Thanks, Samsung.
Voice actors union voting on strike action
Nintendo's long-term strategy is on the verge of finally paying off. When there is no voice acting, they will be king of the hill!
I've been reading some arguments and discussions about this, and while I understand that it's the job of a union to try to improve things for their members, I can't agree with their demands for a form of royalties based on how well a game performs. They're working as contractors, not employees. They're in a position to discuss their wages with every new job. Surely they can negotiate stuff like this on a per job basis? You're telling me that they're heavily invested in voice acting for games, but they can't predict wether the next Assassins creed game will break 2 million units sold?
The union is keen to point towards TV and movies, where such deals are more commonplace. I highly doubt that they're implored by a union. And I would also make the case that TV and even more so movie stars have a much larger influence on how well a product performs than voice actors have. Seriously, how many voice actors can people here name off the top of their head?
They make other demands as well, stuff like better wages for mo-cap and vocally stressfull performances, being better informed about what kind of role in what kind of game you're applying for, ... Stuff like that I can see as being reasonable, but asking to receive royalties in any form seems ludicrous to me. They're not part of a creative process, they have little part in the success of the final product, why should their wage be tied to it's success?
What happens to Anime and Western Animation since they use many of the same voice actors as the video games. So are they going to go on strike as well?
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
And how well does that compare to the number of big-shot actors you can name? Voice actors just don't have the same influence on the final product that movie stars do.
You can read their demands here. As far as I'm concerened, they're all within the boundaries of the reasonable. Save for the royalties.
