I am playing Elliot quest again. Game is kicking my ass. i am definetly and old fart gamer, dying and having to restart at a checkpoint four screens back pisses me off so much. How dare you make me replay stuff like the old days!!!!
It's so good. And there is almost no info on it online so even when I feel like cheating for help there is none.

People are such douches. You always get these idiots who can't even show respect in death. Its not like you suddenly have to worship a person or agree with everything they did because they're dead...but you should at least have enough honor to show a little respect when the person has died.
All these pics are getting to me. *sniffle*
Nintendo may have pushed me away some during Iwata's time at the helm, but I have nothing but respect for the man and his vision. He may have been a CEO, but through Nintendo Directs and Iwata Asks, he made it feel like I knew him personally, to some extent. Satoru Iwata was not a cold man; he was dedicated and fun at the same time, trying to turn gaming -- at least Nintendo's corner of it -- into a personable experience you can share with those you care about. He was the face of the company for almost as long as I've been following gaming online -- he was Nintendo. Here's being Direct with you, Iwata: thank you.
I hope that he was able to prepare the company for this event, because I don't want Nintendo to stray far from where it was under his leadership -- except in the success department. The last thing anyone wants to see is for this wonderful company to fade. Imagine a console industry composed only of Sony and Microsoft. Rather dull, don't you think? The industry needs Nintendo.
Still at a loss for words here.
Feels so strange without him in the mix. I wonder who is going to replace him? Another game dev or a business suit?
Iwata quotes
"My actual last work on programming happened when I was working as the general manager of corporate planning at Nintendo. Something happened and the Gamecube version of Super Smash Brothers didn't look like it was going to make its release date so I sort of did a code review for it (Wry Laugh)." – Iwata, also a talented programmer, admits in a 2014 interview to getting very hands-on with 2001’s Super Smash Bros. Melee, even as an executive.
"I sincerely doubt employees who fear that they may be laid off will be able to develop software titles that could impress people around the world." – Iwata in 2013, explaining why he didn’t lay off workers and restructure the business amid Nintendo’s financial challenges.
"Mr. Miyamoto taught me a painful lesson: Content really is king. His games outsold mine by a huge margin. I found out then that engineering is not quite as important as imagination. To be honest, I was ashamed." – Iwata reflects on how his technically-superior games were outsold by luminary Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto’s iconic games.
"Video games are meant to be just one thing. Fun. Fun for everyone." – Iwata in the GDC 2006 keynote, "Disrupting Development."
"I truly need to reflect on the outcome of this year-end sales season, which, in my opinion, was the worst year-end sales season in the overseas markets since I became president, and I would like to bring them back on the right track as soon as possible." – Iwata sought to turn around an ailing Nintendo in early 2014.
"On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer." – from Iwata’s GDC 2005 keynote, "Heart of a Gamer."
"1. lots of patience. 2. a glint in the eye. 3. liking games" – Iwata’s answer to the question, "What qualities are necessary to be a game designer?" in an October 1985 interview with Beep!
"(laughs)" – Iwata, often, in every edition of Iwata Asks.
If anyone is done with Arkham Knight and they are looking for more SuperHero-like action: Prototype 1 and 2 are now available for download on PSN for PS4. From the makers of the GOOD Hulk open-world game! They are both bundled for 49.99. I think that is TOTALLY worth it and will prolly DL as soon as I am done with Knight!
This image looks strangely familiar!
Quick note from my phone, from bed. Can't sleep for some reason. Just finished one of the adventures in puzzle and dragons 3ds. It immediately unlocks new game plus, which is equal in size to the original game. Still haven't finished the Mario adventure. There's a new game plus in THAT one too! I've put something like 150 hours into the game since May. That's only less than half the content though! 300 hours out of a 3ds game?! DAMN!!
I miss Ol' Howard. I wonder where he is at these days?
He was actually just in the news a couple weeks ago. He recently took a job with some mobile game company or something like that.
Video: Can Shenmue 3 live up to its legend?
Shenmue and Shenmue II didn't so why should 3? Just when we are getting closure on The Last Guardian, (and thank fuck it't the LAST Guardian), we get a new albatross around our game news neck.
I personally really enjoyed the Shenmue games. Regardless, all they have to do is copy Yakuza.
To be clear, I am not stomping on the aspirations of others for 3. For me, I bought Shenmue on launch and did not try to play it until 2 years ago (and then my two DC's died -- I have hope I can bring them back). Which brings me to this point, I'd love a disc based Retron. Something that can play DC, Saturn and PS1 games, so Edge, please make that happen.
Where was I?
Oh yes... Shenmue was never good. </hipster>
For the record, I still think there is a 5-7% chance of this Kojima breakup being a publicity stunt.
I think there is a 48% chance that David Hayter will voice Snake in the game and the Keifer thing was a ruse.
FUCK.
YOU.
