...but now I am also interested in Lord of Magna, having just learned about it this morning from GameStop's listing for it online...![Nyaa](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
I've never seen a year that's had so little planned releases before... kinda scary!
Decided to pick up Kirby anyway yesterday. Despite it's simplicity and iffy reviews. Kirby games just have a way of making you smile whether the game is hard/easy, good/bad, traditional/non. It --IS-- fun, just as Canvas Curse was before, but I should have anticipated one thing: There's absolutely no need to have a TV to play this game. I find it sooo strange. It's great if you typically play on the Wii U pad, but odd if you do not. If you play single-player, you are constantly tapping on Kirby and drawing the Rainbow paths... the TV simply mirrors what you do, and you CAN'T look away from the pad. The only reason you would have to look at the screen is if you are playing multiplayer and are controlling one of the waddle-dees.
The game is actually a bit more challenging than the average Kirby games these days, and, believe it or not, probably has more in common with a traditional Sonic the Hedgehog game than a Kirby platformer. In typical HAL style, there's figurines to collect and a bunch of other unlockables and even enemies that closely resemble Crazy and Master Hand. Overall, it's not a bad game at all... No regrets getting it! If you enjoyed Epic Yarn, or have a kid to play it with, even better!
**Of course, it goes without saying, the claymation is ridiculously cute and well-done!**
If you are a fan of touch-centric games like this one --and-- a fan of off-screen play, well then...
**See above.**
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
This guy came out yesterday, too... If you have any interest, I would act very, very quickly, because well, like all the rest of the rare Amiibo line, It's...
...
...wait for it...

If Nintendo had any sense of humor, or edgy attitude, or actually gave a f**k about their fans, they would make this a real thing:
For the three people on the planet that wouldn't "get" that...
Amiibos are probably the best thing to happen to Nintendo since the original Wii craze.
Awww... Fuck no...![Sad](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-frown.gif)
Really admired this kid's spunk. He was a damned good looking kid, too. What a shame.![Cry](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-cry.gif)
ehhhhh.... it's a little funny.
Nice little summary. I think I'll pick it up this week, though I was actually debating between this and Bayonetta. Either way I've got some unfinished business with a bunch of merchants in Arabia that I need to settle up before throwing down for a new game.
One of the things I love about JRPG's is the way in which they make characters and stories relatable to the average joe. For example, who doesn't have deep-seated, psychological fears of being man-handled from behind by sweaty muscle-men in thongs?
**So sorry, Kanji, but I wouldn't have it any other way!**
There are two of you who may or may not get this reference, but if you DO, you REALLY should be playing Persona Q!![WinkWink](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-wink.gif)
BUGSIE!!
Say something, would ya... You've been FAR too quiet lately! You're worrying me!!
I get it! But I want to play a console game instead. Still debating on what it'll be.
Well then, just remember the mention! Something happens to poor Kanji 'round the 50 or 60 hour mark, depending how you play, that'll make you laugh your ass off...!
Poor Kanji...![Nyaa](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
**Maybe he enjoyed it?**
Actually has nothing to do with this picture, but the poor dude takes so much abuse... LOL!
One day you'll understand!
Oh, and please understand, my posting about Persona Q is in no way attempting to get you, specifically, to play the game... It's more just a general, overall sentiment. I am just astounded I have been playing the game for THIS long and have yet to grow tired of it! Usually by the 40 hour mark, I start to be critical of the timer, get antsy and start wondering when the game is going to end. I am double that and still haven't even had an inkling of that feeling yet! I have no other outlet for my enthusiasm for the game, so I'll just post random things about it here and there! Quite literally one of the best **or the best** handheld RPG's I've --EVER-- played!!
I've picked it up a few more times. I'm at the 25 hour mark or so. It's quite good. I still say the most amazing thing about it, is how non-spinoff'ish it feels. It totally captures the vibe of the two games, albiet in a slightly goofier way. It just totally works though.
Really makes me wish I liked the 3DS more. I think I'd have finished it by now. On that note, I will say that even this early in the year the 3DS looks like it'll be the system of the year as far as games go.
I forget if I asked yet, but did you choose P3 or P4 as your starting team?
P3. Always P3. Screw the P4 team. I have no use for any of them, except for Kanji (because he fucking rules).
