X's map being 5 times as large as Xenoblade's is a hollow promise. How do you meassure scale in a virtual space? If the map is 5 times as large, and your avatar is 5 times as big (the doll), it's basically the same size. Shrinking all character models by a factor 5 doesn't count.
If they were to say the map consisted of 5 times as many polygons, I'd be sorely disappointed. Of all the things Xenoblade had going for it, pushing a lot of polygons wasn't one of them. I'm just glad to see that, based on the trailers, they seem to have significantly upped the level of detail on character models as well as the environments.
