Still, if you think too carefully about the importance the story places on the connection between these two characters, things start to fall apart a bit. Because The Last of Us is an action game that adheres to the established template of the genre, over the course of your journey you murder not just one or five or 12 people, but dozens and dozens of them, and it's questionable whether a man who treats the lives of so many of his fellow human beings as so disposable would really be capable of placing any meaningful importance on the life of one particular individual. You can't soil your hands with the blood of hundreds and still have room for love in your heart.
I hate the whole "your character kills a ton of bad guys, that impacts the story" ITS A VIDEO GAME you kill things, so what. Basically these people are saying an action game can never have a story worth exploring cause the character is always psycho murderer.
Also her view is ridiculous in a world where it is kill or be killed which is what TLOU is.
Except for the terrible sniper sequence, can't you stealth your way through the game? Her view is ridiculous in any world. How utterly bizarre. I assume it was invented for the review.

Sniper sequence was fine, a good change of pace. Went on for far too long. Idea was good, execution not so much.

Man....David Vincent has the easiest to understand vocal style in Death Metal...I can clearly understand just about everything he says. But then, I can understand just about anyone in this style because I'm used to it I guess...its like a language to me. But here...have some fucking subtitles! lol

I enjoy games that attempt new things even if it's not great (it's not bad at all either, classic snipe people mission) than games that have no variety at all.
The only way I get TLOU remastered now is if you guys play online. But the usual crew doesn't seem to be getting it in ps4.
