Don't read into the current pic for any more than what it is. Yes, it's a GLAAD pic but that's not the reason I posted it. Don't know what's going on with Page. As she gets older, she starting to look... kinda... strange... ish... She's just aging kinda... strange. Over the last few years she's gone from being almost Ellie and little girl-like like to being... Can't put my finger on it. When I saw her in the X-Men movie, I said to myself: "OK. They aged her to look like Kitty Pryde in a war-torn future." Then I saw her NOT in the movie and said to myself: "Oh. That wasn't make-up."
I know it appears that I am being very critical and unkind. For some reason, I look at her and get un-settled. I know, I know: She's come "out" lately... that's not the reason I am being critical. Having that knowledge about her shouldn't change the way she "physically" appears to me, but something seems... off.
Anyone at all get what I am saying? Or is it just me?
The new slightly androgyny look might be putting you off going by what you've said in the past? (Not an insinuating criticism, but a possible cause.)

Yeah. I am ashamed to admit it, but maybe you're on to something. After AC posted his Ellie comment yesterday, something just sparked in my brain that just said: "People still want Page to play Ellie? She doesn't look like her at all anymore." I then started to look for current images of her. When I saw this one:
...the first two people... and no, I am not trying to be funny... and, yeah, this is going to make me look even worse when I claim that gender identity wasn't behind my initial post... but it wasn't conciously, at least...

Maybe, Page DOES feel like she needs to model herself after someone now that her identity is "out" ...
...doesn't help my case that I am claiming to not be posting the original for any specific reason, but I was thinking purely HOW she looks, not WHY she may look the way she does.
Could also be that Ellie replaced the mental image I had in my head for Page, and actually seeing her made me think: "Wait. That's not right."
Dunno. Maybe I'm innocent. Maybe I'm just as prone to bias as anyone else, but I had no agenda behind posting the original pic, despite how it might look now.
...and the utterly ironic thing of it all:
After playing "The Last of Us: Left Behind" you find out Ellie is even more close to Page as a character than anyone originally thought... and Page even "came out" around the same time as TLoU DLC... but I still can't see Page playing Ellie as a character in a potential movie, despite that!
Just to weigh in the Last of Us movie.
1. The movie is probably going to be mediocre. While I loved the game, that story has already been done multiple times. I mean, hell we already have the Walking Dead. We're good.
2. I still don't think it's really going to happen anyway.
3. Ellen Paige does look too old for the role. Even if she weren't going through her "I want to remind the world I'm a lesbian" phase and playing up her age, I think she's trying to stay far away from teenager roles now which is probably the best thing she could do for her career anyway.
4. Can't we have a BioShock movie first? Tell me that wouldn't make a better movie.
Hmm, I'm starting to think the TLoU PS3/PS4 trade-in deal was a hoax. I just looked all over gamestop.com, and I see absolutely nothing about this supposed deal.
It's quite real, but it may be in-store only. I was in the store yesterday and they were promoting it there.

Who cares about Ellen page, she will never have anything to do with TLOU. Arya stark all the way. Hugh Hackman from prisoners as Joel.
Great choice for Joel. I've also seen a lot of people wanting Chris Pratt for Drake in the Uncharted movie. Sounds like a great choice to me.
Hugh Jackman is a nice idea for Joel, but he's just too super human. I think you'd need someone who is a little more everyman.
I was thinking about Pratt for drake today. Hell yes.
