That was the first temple that really baffled me because I was still thinking of Zelda as a 2D game.  Once I remembered to look up and down for clues, it was bearable.  Maybe I just love a challenging dungeon.

Just finished it. After being stuck for 2 days. It wasn't so much the puzzles as the WATER aspects of it... I even got the Blue Tunic before going in, but it still makes me feel completely claustrophobic. The one thing that held me up was the Broken Wall with the key behind it, remembering to bring the water level up only twice before being able to bomb it. Before and after that was a breeze... maybe with the exception of not remembering the Long Shot and being puzzled how to reach certain grapple points... but there were so many other bad design choices, the whirlpools, the Tektite placement, the funkiness of the camera...

I don't know what game I should pick.

I wish I would have reached Platinum Status because they have better games.

I'm thinking between The Adventure of Link, Super Mario Bros., Wario Land II, and Metroid.

I might choose Adventure of Link just because I never finished it. But I never played Wario Land II.

But I need to purchase a new SD card to get Wario Land II.

The first thing you’re likely to notice is the visual upgrade from 720p and 30 frames per second to 1080p and 60 frames per second (though you can lock things down at 30 FPS should you choose). Naughty Dog tells us that character textures have been increased by a factor of four, shadows have been doubled (along with a new lighting process), and draw distance is noticeably better.


Motion blur when turning the camera (used to hide slower loading textures) has been significantly reduced, but not eliminated. The game’s gritty, destroyed environments look crisper, which was even more pronounced in the side-by-side comparison. It looks spectacular.

The demo station at Sony's press event yesterday had The Last of Us running side by side on PS3 and PS4, and we watched the cutscene of Joel, Ellie and Bill arriving at Bill's safehouse playing on both versions simultaneously. Thanks to things like The Virtual Console, PSN and Steam, I am going back into my history of unfinished games and trying to make a few corrections. After re-playing Link to the Past, I informally decided to make this a Zelda summer. Going to try to finish OoT, then Minish Cap, then either Majora or, finally, A Link Between Worlds.

It's not just Zelda though, there are other games and series I am going to re-visit and try to complete.

We'll see if I have the patience this time!
