I am shocked at how great Castlevania Mirror of Fate is. Its not the same as past Metroidvanias, its basically a 2D version of Lords of Shadows and it works.

I don't understand this reasoning. It's like saying you can't feel sad for someone who commits suicide. Suffering causes people to do stuff to themselves. Still makes me feel bad.
He went out high. So far as I can see that puts him a few echelons of happiness above me alive.
This PS2 emulator is amazing. FFX runs without a hitch, save for some odd music slowdown here and there. Shadow of the Colossus on the other hand runs like absolute ASS.

What a giagantic piece of turd shit that game was. Broncos were embarrasing. Manning was a mess. Seahawks clearly the best team in football, I knew they would win but never expected it to be a blowout.

So what I get from this:
In this perspective, while we are only going to be able to start this with the next system, it will become important for us to accurately take advantage of what we have done with the Wii U architecture. It of course does not mean that we are going to use exactly the same architecture as Wii U, but we are going to create a system that can absorb the Wii U architecture adequately. When this happens, home consoles and handheld devices will no longer be completely different, and they will become like brothers in a family of systems.
Is that Nintendo is already planning to phase out Wii U but with a system that will be completely backwards compatible with Wii U. It will probably be a rebranding where software for Wii U is playable but so is 3DS or whatever new stuff they have. The imporant thing is that they are planning to do something with Wii U very soon which is smart cause just hanging on to a dead system for years is terrible.
It seems like we will be getting portable games on "consoles" in the future.

no, not phasing out. he was talking about how new achitecture is harder 2 develop 4 and he said only gc to wii wasn't a problem, so with the next console he wants 2 carry across what they did with u architecture 2 make it faster/easier for first party 2 make games for the next console. problem is the industry is moving towards more pc like design so will lead to another exotic architecture, not satisfying 2 third party either. and perhaps backwards compat might hobble power
also with thr handhrld thing he means they will share an os so games can be ported more easily so less game droughts
