Game Scoop! Presents The BIG RPG Preview
Did you know there are 30 RPG's scheduled for 2014? Actually an IGN video worth watching!?ign.com editorial impressions media phantom_leo
no, not phasing out. he was talking about how new achitecture is harder 2 develop 4 and he said only gc to wii wasn't a problem, so with the next console he wants 2 carry across what they did with u architecture 2 make it faster/easier for first party 2 make games for the next console. problem is the industry is moving towards more pc like design so will lead to another exotic architecture, not satisfying 2 third party either. and perhaps backwards compat might hobble power
also with thr handhrld thing he means they will share an os so games can be ported more easily so less game droughts
But this means a brand new machine, meaning the end of Wii U as we know it but the games will live on if that makes sense.
something weird happenin with watchdogd, ubi has filed 2 cancel the trademark
Probably nothing other than a slight name change. But I would not be shocked if some dramatic tweaks get made and this becomes a new Assassin's Creed game.
I had to try this Puzzles and Dragons game, it made more money than GTA?!
Holy shit its a puzzle game mixed with pokemon… Nintendo WTF are you doing?! You could make 5 billion if you release a game like this. GET ON CELL PHONES NOW!!!!!
I dont understand how most people get passed the tutorial. There is a bunch of stats and crap, there is no way a bunch of casual gamers are playing this, this is classic card game like mechanics mixed with classic puzzle like gameplay. So who is playing this, kids I guess, loads and loads of kids and some more experienced gamers. Who is paying for all the extra stuff, kids parents? I am so lost. We need studies into this game, I want a full statistical analysis on who is playing and who is paying.
Marvel Puzzle Quest is way more my thing, though this game seems way more deep.

Hmm, modern day AC? I was really hoping Ubisoft would retire AC like they pretty much retired PoP last gen. Start a new franchise each gen.

yeah but he means 4 the next console architecture, not indicating anything soon

I must say after an abysmal first impression a couple years ago, I'm surprisingly in love with FFX upon a second try.
Its an awesome game...one of my favorite PS2 games. You're playing on an emulator?

Megaton news.
Nintendo posting time, if you want to whine about it go whine somewhere else.
So what I get from this:
In this perspective, while we are only going to be able to start this with the next system, it will become important for us to accurately take advantage of what we have done with the Wii U architecture. It of course does not mean that we are going to use exactly the same architecture as Wii U, but we are going to create a system that can absorb the Wii U architecture adequately. When this happens, home consoles and handheld devices will no longer be completely different, and they will become like brothers in a family of systems.
Is that Nintendo is already planning to phase out Wii U but with a system that will be completely backwards compatible with Wii U. It will probably be a rebranding where software for Wii U is playable but so is 3DS or whatever new stuff they have. The imporant thing is that they are planning to do something with Wii U very soon which is smart cause just hanging on to a dead system for years is terrible.
It seems like we will be getting portable games on "consoles" in the future.
It probably means their next console will be two Wii U's duct taped together, under a different name. And they will use the gimmick of the home console and the next DS having the same tech as some great thing. So the home console I could see not being upgraded at all...just, as I said a name change and a different cosmetic look. Different controller. Or maybe even use the next DS as the controller. So the next handheld could be the only one that actually gets upgraded tech (to Wii U levels).

Yeah, I ripped an ISO of my game and played it to try out the new PCSX2 emulator that went live yesterday or so. It looks way better than using my PS2 and I can upscale resolutions and do FXAA and more weird shit. I might track down a copy of FFX-2 if I like this one well enough.
And in another chapter of "Gaming With Children" I was playing Persona 3 and one of the characters was talking about how he was trying to arrange a meeting with friends, but was mad when only a bunch of guys wanted to hang-out. Following this bit of dialogue my son chimed in with a question regarding a word the character used that he had never heard before.
"Dad, what's a sausage-fest?"
I explained that it's a German festival where they try a lot of different kinds of sausage, since that's where it was invented, and they drink a lot of beer. Usually it's called Oktoberfest. He seemed happy with that explanation. My only concern is that there's a German girl in his class and he was going to ask her about it. I'm praying to god he either forgets or calls it Oktoberfest tomorrow.

GTAV shipped 32.5M copies to date. Holy fuck.

That's the only 3D FF that I completed....very enjoyable.
I even like Tidus!

I don't think they retired PoP so much as they were better off focusing on other franchises. Or did you forget about this game?
I have never seen a major title drop to $10 at Gamestop faster then the attempt to reboot PoP.
No you don't. You're drunk or high...or both.
I like Tidus too....

He's going to tell her that he wants to go to the sausagefest.
LOL...
Ok so the next two months we have
What am I missing? This is better than the holidays...how the hell am I supposed to afford this?
