Dual track for me this week:
-DmC and Saints Row on the PS3 with an emphasis on DmC (have to keep playing it for GOTY consideration and because the controls are so many that if I stop playing it for more than a day I'll forget them). SR4 is better than I remember, but I am in a fairly long and tedious stage right now. DmC is nice, up to Ninja Theory's usual level of quality.
- Metro 2033 and Antichamber on PC, with emphasis on the latter for the same. Sadly my install of Metro 2033 is fukt. I did the file verificiation thing on steam and it says it needs to download a file to reapir it, but it never does. I'm not going to replay up to my save, so not sure what to do.
Thanks to a 62 hour work week, I haven't had time to do much gaming, but I did play a tiny bit of Burial At Sea today.
If you uninstall it shouldn't delete your save? Anyway, fiddle around with steam sync (turning it on and off and reloading the game/trying to get the repair file to install). It wreaks havoc on 2033. And bear in mind you can change difficulty at any point. It should take like 30 minutes to get up to Khan on easy.
Finished The Swapper:
Getting close to the end of Yodariquo's favourite JRPG of late:
Nice diverse blend there.
I've played these two games this weekend:

Coincidentally, both of these games are on my GOTY list. Which one do you think will hold a higher place?
Is Neptunia any good?
The fact that you're asking implies the latter.
But, but... everyone knows the kinds of ratings 3D World has been getting, right?!
Yeah, but then I'll have to re-download it (if I uninstall it). EDIT: I would totally replay up to where I am at on easy if it did wipe out my save.
The turn based battle system is not only original, but equal to the absolute best JRPG turn based battle systems ever (not including SRPGs) and the level pacing is exceptional as well. The story is a comic farce, parodying Japanese (and worldwide) gaming culture to the point where all the main characters represent gaming consoles (the lady in the screenshot is the Xbox). The battle system has been slightly refined since mk2, but the simple changes make a huge difference for the better. However, they recycle dungeons and enemies (including bosses) like nobody’s business, even reusing dungeon templates from mk2 lol. Other things that might put people off: mk2 and (apparently) 1 are both harder than your average JRPG (I've found Victory to be a lot easier than mk2, but maybe that's just because I'm used to how the series plays now) and the visual novel scenes take up at least 30% of the games. But they can be easily skipped if you don't want to watch a Japanese comic farce for 10 hours. But I certainly do!
Yeah, so try fiddling with Steam sync first. I had huge problems with trying to alter the options because of that bullshit, so it might be fucking you over to. I wonder what would happen if I sent you my Steam folder for it on a DVD...
That's weird. I swear I saw a reply to my Neptunia question on the Front Page... and now it's gone... Was I just seeing things?
It's here now, I accidentally edited it into my reply re. Mario instead of posting it separately.
Sounds interesting!

Let me know if you ever decide to try Guided Fate Paradox!
If it comes out on PSN I might ask for a review copy. But I made it 3 hours into Disgaea 3 before having to give up due to my being absolute shite at it. I am awful at SRPGs of the Japanese variety. I'm always interested in these games, but my crapness gets in the way.
It's not an SRPG. It's a Rogue-Style game like Shiren the Wander, Azure Dreams, Izuna the Unemployed Ninja, Torneko the Last Hope or Chocobo's Dungeon...
There's something definitely different about it; even the music is pretty damn awesome!
**also, boobies!**
Then I might have a chance to make it more than 3 hours in... (I'm pretty inexperienced with roguelikes.)
