Robio is 100% right, Nintendo has almost abandoned the Wii U pad. Even Miyamoto in an interview was like "well most games are just going to use it as a map or inventory screen". Pikmin 3 is designed for wiimote. Mario 3D Land plays with normal controls. DK with wiimote. Smash with any pad. Mario Kart with wiimote.

Lets go back to the Wii launch, Zelda: TP remade to use the wiimote. Metriod Prime 3 designed around the wiimote. Mario Kart designed around the wiimote. Nearly every third party game was designed around the wiimote.

And Nintendo has been getting far worse with its sequels. Before NSMB they never cranked out simple sequels almost every other year, like a background swap like so many other companies do. Every sequel Nintendo made was different, unique. But in comes NSMB, they make millions and now its just a half assed sequel series, it is so un-nintendo like. DK is about the same as well which is why it is so dissapointing. It took like 3 years, and its by Retro and its a wii game, games dont get much more disappointing than that (that has nothing to do with the quality of the game when its released).  And who cares that Mario 3D world allows four players, can you play online? NO. So who the hell is going to play with four players if you dont have kids?

I know they will all be great games but I am pretty damn sure most of us didnt buy a Wii U expecting we would get that mario and Retro making that game. Neither has any good use for the pad.

Don't be fooled by people saying this is an 'anti-Uncharted'...This game is basically Uncharted with the adventure and huge setpieces replaced with grimdarkness and stealth sections.

LOL Last of Us comment.

I'd disagree of course. I thought it was basically Soul Calibur II with the fighting and story-based single player campaign replaced with grimdarkness and stealth sections.

Awesome Pikmin 3 reviews. The only thing that worries me is that the campaign is like 10-15 hours and most say its really easy. Challenge mode sounds fantastic at least.

Nintendo Stock Skyrockets To Highest Value in Two Years

Here's a question. Nintendo has seen a lot of good news in the past week, and is likely to continue to see over the next month or two as big profile games come out that will both generate their own sales and stimulate 3DS and Wii U sales. Additionally the Japanese Yen is having some pretty good days and seems to be strengthening. And while it's not exactly a solid statement, if China does indeed allow consoles into the country as the article mentions, it's safe to say that non-offensive Nintendo games would be the most palatable to the Chinese government. So with all these positive signs for the company. . . will Patcher still deem Nintendo as a bad investment?

Vader, I had a dream that I was playing virtual reality Zelda in Kokiri Village or whatever it's called. The dandelions were mesmerising.

What did they taste like?

I've been playing Bioshock infinite (finished) and warhammer 40K space marine!  I have no idea what I'll be playing next.  Maybe... MAYBE... Red Dead Redeption Zombie or Borderlands 2.

It was virtual reality so I couldn't taste them obviously. There were a lot of dandelion seeds floating around; couldn't feel them on my skin because once again: virtual reality.

Clearly you know nothing about synaesthesia.

Sin-ass-thesia? What's that?

You are over reacting. NSMB series in one per platform. Also I like how you know that DKTF is a safe sequel. Play the game first.

And online in Mario. Do you guys complain about no online in Rayman? It is just not technically feasible yet, without massive lag.

And Mario Kart designed around the wiimote. Go home, you drunk LOL

Mario Kart Wii Software

Yeah Iga they only packaged it with a wiimote attachment so it could look pretty.

The wheel is the reason Mario Kart Wii sold more than any kart ever.

And what is DK possibly going to have that wont make it a basic sequel? Its the exact same game! New backgrounds, new levels, maybe a new move or two, thats it. A very traditional safe sequel. What you think they are hiding a 3D world in there?

Yes no online in Rayman sucks too. Any game with 4 player co-op and no online pretty much means like 10% of owners will actually get to try the 4 player mode if that many. meaning its not important.

Perhaps, but it was not designed around the wiimote. Seeing as normal controls work fine!

It would be cool if Steam had a tool like stock trading aps, where you can set a "Buy" price where it automatically puts a game into your cart and notifies you (as opposed to just buying it, which I am sure there are some credit card restrictions on blah blah blah).
