Super Mario Sunshine retrospective "11 years: that's how long it took Nintendo to top Super Mario 64 with Galaxy"
.....Meh, I prefer Super Mario Sunshine to BOTH!!!! It only took them that long because they can't be bothered to make timely sequels....especially back then.
Thanks for the advise Supreme...I will remember that.
Blast from the past!!!
I finished in about 17-18 hours, then put another 4 hours into NG+.
Yeah well, don't lean too heavily on it. I mean really, I played the game for over 180+ hours and didn't bother with affinity much. I just got busted on 'my last big thing I wanted to do' because I couldn't complete it since I lacked affinity for one region. You see, some quests require other quests to be completed. If those latter quests then only become available once you reach a certain affinity, which is reached by doing a shitload of quests, weeeell... It's not really motivating, to say the least.
Anyone notice how at E3 it seemed like DICE became the EA poster boy? Every EA studio is using their engine Frostbite 3 for their new games and DICE is doing:
And they are opening an LA studio?
When and how did the Swedes overun EA and come to shape the publishers future?
Would anyone of you guys care to try some Luigi's Mansion multiplayer? GG, Leo, Travo, Edge Dvader, Randolph, Godmode? I think you've all got it haven't you?

LOL if you are squeamish stay away from this game. There are about a dozen diferent types of execution moves you can do in the game depending on what you are fighting and you want to do these moves because you get more points to buy more moves. This whole game is blood! gore! blood! gore!
You literally do stuff like stick your first up an enemys asshole and pull out their spinal cord.
It is pretty hilarious. Unless you are a big horror person though the game will not sit well with you. Even then it's not good, it barely scrapes 5/10 territory but well I liked the old ones so I picked it up cheap for like $5.
I never got around to buying it yet.

Not right now. I had my Animal Crossing gates open for a couple of hours today and no one strolled by.
EDIT:
Played alot more Lego City 3DS, it's so bare bones, more a beat em up, they use fights to just pad out missions. It's not a terrible game at all but on 3DS it's up against these polished and charming AAA Nintendo games and it just cannot compete. Average isn't good enough on this platform anymore. I think it's going to be like this on Wii U too, the plaform will be dominated by Nintendo AAA because no one is making new 3rd party games (nothing new at E3) - then when they show up they are going to be weighed against all these high quality 1st party IP and will come off worse. They are digging their own grave right now. EDIT - with fans
I haven't received AC yet. I'm leaving on Thursday. I hope it comes by then or I will be very upset

They go deep into every game too. The pictures are very simple (usually a single screen per game), but that is appropriate given the subject matter. It is amazing though how many of these games I had played and forgotten.
12-16 hours depending on how you play, I've heard. My PS3 continues to crash... Other games are fine, I guess Last of Us is too much for my PS3 Fat to handle.
It's been rolling out for about a year (the frostbite stuff). I'd say their influence was already great within E3 when they were greenlit for the first Mirror's Edge.
It's kind of a similar path that Criterion took within EA (talented studio with great engine tech being applied to broader products throughout the publisher).
I would love to but my internet is down for a few days. I am at a friends right now doing work cause he has internet. I am so pissed.
But yes we NEED TO HAVE GAME NIGHTS. But to get anyone to do anything on this forum is impossible.
I'm game for game nights. TloU or LM2 tonight?
NOOO no internet for me, all of you must wait!
I still don't have a 3ds...haha.
I'll look for bugs later. I'd he's not on, then I'll move onto last of us.
Yup, me too. Sunshine is my favorite 3D Super Mario game. Galaxy comes close, though.
CONGRATS CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS! AMAZING SEASON,AMAZING GAME GREAT STANLEY CUP WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last of Us keeps killing my PS3.
I am going to stop playing, because the repeated cold booting can't be good for it. It plays other games well.
In searching for more information, seems like a common problem with older PS3's. So time to shop for a new PS3. Looks like $198 is th scheapest I can find locally.
So now I have to keep spoiler dodging until god-knows-when.
I am sick, and have a day off this week, quite poor timing.
EDIT: Just got one for pick-up tomorrow. $200, I need a new controller anyway (which costs $70), so the way I see it I am getting a PS3 for $130.
You can't just buy a new system because one game doesn't work. Wait for a patch.
