System Shock 2 is one of the greatest games I have ever played. It is nearly flawless and slaws Haloshock Infinite in every respect. That is all.
I like this old pc game binge, next I think i'm gonna get the original Deus Ex since I missed that game back in the day.
Hey man thanks! I went for it DLING generations now! Also going to DL racing tonight. For $ 10 wtf! If I have a need to go back I have a lot to choose from!
You're right, that was cruel of me. I'm sorry. You two should Skype!
Oh we've already been Wii U chatting. But the lights are really bad in her place so I can't really make out her face. I'm telling you she's awesome though. She's got this deep sexy voice too. Kinda smokey and hot.
I'm using the embargo as an excuse to be lazy. Not having played the 3DS version, I'm not even sure what the new content is (feel free to tell me what it is lol). And I can't play Raid Mode as it should be played for obvious reasons.
EDIT: Okay, so the new stuff is just Infernal mode and other extrasf I would have been getting anyway; and are presumably excellent as the balancing of everything item and enemy related is just great. Anyway, I can tell you that Infernail mode looks pretty ridiculous (should be right up your alley). As soon as you go inside on the ship you are already fighting a lot of ooze monsters, and they can survive a right bollocking. I'm surprised it wasn't included on the 3DS tbh. (Though maybe because of the controls it wasn't.)
Been playing Dota 2. Still battling bots hahha.
I played through and finished this (lol@the subtle pixellation in this shot):
I got it working, and then started this:
My worst fears about this were realised. Time to play it on easy and throw it up to hard when I come across new bosses, me thinks:
I have been playing:
Holy Crap Sonic Generations is great! Well worth the $10 I paid but I got nine other sonic games too! I love Steam and Amazon! it was 12 but one is DLC for SG the Casino Zone!
Told you. Enjoy.
Also raid mode should have a two new characters and maybe a new level or two.
Wait you cant play Raid mode? Why? Thats the game. The best thing about Revelations is Raid mode, the story mode is the bonus in my eyes.
I can play it, just not with other people (because obviously no one is playing it). And I see no appeal in playing it without other people; same applied to mercenaries mode in RE5. It does look a whole lot better than mercenaries in RE5, though, but it's just not for me. I'd probably have more interest in it if it wasn't all set in the same areas you've played through tbh.
I hear rumors from my brother about the new 360 having 12 gigs of ram, having the actual console at their event and having it playable by the press. According to this MS insider rumor you should set your expecations to high because they are going to be introducing all kinds of new things.
This is a second hand rumor (that I dont even have a link for lol) so take that as you will.
I am excited to watch their reveal on Spike Tuesday though.
Ok also how the fuck have I not heard about Sonic Allstars racing? This game is beautiful and fun Yea Sonic!
Very hyped for MS, should be a fun week!
Wow Sonic 4 EP 1&2 are really not that bad, I'm set for Sonic for a while!
Ok now you went a bit too far.
This Miiverse kid keeps messaging me about Lord of the Rings. I think he's my favourite person on Miiverse. Makes me smile a lot, reminds me of when we were younger. Keeps asking questions like who would win a fight between Godzilla and Batman.
People with devkits pretty much confirmed the specs, basically the same as PS4 apart from the RAM, it all points towards 8gb of DDR but then PS4 was supposed to have 4gb of faster GDDR RAM and it got upped. It could be that Sony's RAM boost has forced MS to try and one up them but I'm not counting on it. It appears to use DDR and then 32mb of ESRAM like Wii U uses 32mb eDRAM + 3mb eSRAM to juggle memory through to the frame buffer. Both PS4 and Nextbox appear to use low power 8 core Jaguars, I'm not sure people here understand that while 8 cores at 1.6gz sounds good these Jaguars were AMDs rival to Intels Atom chips; and if you know about Atoms you know that they are made for long battery life and not performance. Atoms are quite shitty compared to the performance on laptops with proper processors. This is probably why there are 8 of them in the new consoles, cause they are cheap. You could get more performance out of higher powered tri or quad core setups I read.
They also have 17 stage pipelines, for instance U's CPU has a 4 stage pipeline and can perform 4X as many instructions in the same time period - it wins on IPC but is weak on SIMD, where I believe Jaguars have SIMD units - but SIMD is pushed to the GPU in modern times. But obviously having 8 cores means parellel processing will help overall performance. The impression I'm getting off of the tech know-it-alls on GAF who frequently disagree on everything is that the CPU is the weakest aspect of the new machines and that CPU power in general hasn't made the same performance improvements as Graphics pipelines. But higher floating point peformance should mean better framerates.
Dyack on Kotaku's article
Why did it take so long to respond to the article?
- Dyack did not think that people would believe it
- He is now coming forward as it's impacting the fundraising campaign
Email from Andrew McMillen
- "There is no hard evidence apart from non-credible anonymous sources"
- Email from Andrew McMillen, which was forwarded to SK.
- Wired did not decide to go ahead with the story
- When McMillen was confronted with only having 8 anonymous sources, he said that it's fair enough
- Dyack: McMillen was aware that it would ruin SK and Dyack's reputation
Funds were diverted from X-Men Destiny to fund ED2 prototype
- SK put more money into X-Men Destiny than they received from Activision as they wanted it to be better than their last game
- Half way through the project, Dyack sat down with Activision executives and talked about how to improve the game after having paid 2 million more than they got paid
- Activision was stunned by this; they appreciated it and even told Dyack it was not a good business move
- Dyack sorry about how the game turned out
- Dyack also sorry about having said certain things in the past, he learnt his lesson and is now not involved in business decisions at Precursor
- Article says that 8 people totalling 45 years of experience were interviewed; Dyack says that people with only 5 years at SK would not know the budget allocation; those people who knew the allocation were not interviewed
- SK had open policy when working with partners; used Perforce and Hansoft; Activision could look at both databases and see which employee worked on what project
- External audits confirmed this
Allegation of why Silicon Knights left Nintendo
- Relationship between Dyack and Nintendo still close
- Iwata recommended that SK would become a second party
- Nintendo and SK went different ways because they wanted to create different types of games
- Nintendo were not oppressive but constructive
Allegation of claims that artists are a "dime a dozen"
- "Nothing could be further from the truth"
- Average salary 25000-30000$ higher than St.Catherines area and comparable to that at large publishers in larger cities
- People like Kevin Gordon would not work with him for over 20 years and many others stayed at SK for 10-15 years

- None of that was true, they did not feel out of the loop
- SK went through difficult time with layoffs and departures, but there was no exodus
- Turnover rate was low
- Former SK employees congratulated to Precursor campaign, Dyack does not believe this would have happened if they were treated poorly
Allegation of Activision changing the credits
- Dyack made the final call on credits, not Activision
- Allegation is untrue
