I've been playing Retro City Rampage mostly and a little of Thomas was Alone both PC, both awesome.
Thomas was Alone = Lost Vikings
Retro City Rampage would be the greatest NES game ever made, had it been made in the era. It's basically GTA2 but with the modern tropes of the open world game, along with a healthy does of 80's references and meta humor about gaming. This guy was the first to do it, I;ve been reading about this game for years. Sadly, by the time he published several more have done the same kind of thing.
Beyond the gimmick of making it 8-bit the game is actually enjoyable and compelling on its own merits.
Zampella must be King of Pricks.
I have been playing Darksiders 2. This game is criminally underated and destroys the first game, and is a lot better (IMO) than this generations Zelda games as well. Game is incredible.

It's good, but painful to play!
How does that even work? Is that like masturbating even after your dick has been rubbed raw?
It has all the gameplay that I loved in BoF 1-3, but since it was a PSOne game, they HAD TO make the world polygonal, 3D and Rotatable. That would be fine, but (1)It uses the d-pad by default, (2) Your characters CAN'T walk on a diagonal (unless you set in the options to walk at a 90 degree angle; up is left, down is right) and the world is presented to you in an isometeric perspective... You can't walk on angles but everything is presented in that way! (3)You can switch the controls in the PS3 so the Analog stick takes the place of the d-pad, but when you do that in BoF4, your default movement is set to RUN...! (4)The left and right triggers to rotate the world is slow and tedious, AND the game locks out rotation sometimes!
This has nothing to do with it being on PS3. I quit the game years ago for these very same reasons. I was just in the mood to play a Super NES-esque RPG, so I'm trying to suffer through.
Retail lists Xenoblade Wii UHD Port on the way or just a placeholder for X?

AC4 sounds pretty awesome. Its like Wind Waker and metroid... ok mostly like AC but still has some elements of those two.
