Just completed Zombi u, awesome fun. 9.0 from me. Funny that the credit sequence occurs then the game continues. Dvader I made it to the end without dying there is no special ending, you just evac from the tower and it ends. You said before that there was then a mode where you could not be hurt? Are you talking about invincibility or just survivor mode? I tried starting a new game but it would only let me play survivor mode. I had amassed tons of weapons and ammo by the end, in retrospect, I should have used guns a lot more, apart from the pistol.

EDIT: It took me almost 20 hours.

I didnt make it to the tower, I died and the game erases your save.

You missed nothing, the tower was pretty much the same, there was no special ending.

I had fun with Max Payne 3, but now I'm just waiting on it to be over.  If you love good cover shooters, youll love MP3, but I'm just ready to focus solely on AC3 at this moment.

I popped in Kingdoms of Amalur since I figured I could start that while finishing Asura's Wrath.

Holy crap what a bad impressions it makes.

Ludicrous voice acting, PS2-like graphics and ugly character models and animation.  Not at all what I was expecting.  it basically looks like if you took the camera in a Dark Alliance game and dropped it down to the characters level.

So then I put in Dragon Age: Origins and it looked *ok* but the animations and scripting just seemed very XB era.

So maybe it's my fault.  But both games seemed so OLD looking.  I play my share of PS2 era games, probably more than most, so I am not hung up on graphics, so long as they are appropriate to the generation I am playing them in.

It could be because the last 5 games I have been playing are all from this year (and also watching Mrs Apsro play FF13-2).

Yeah KoA does not impress at the start. It does get better when you get a bit further into it and are out in the open.

I think I want to beat Super Mario Sunshine.

Am I a fucking idiot? (serious question).

EDIT: Incidentally the next game I am playing is Second Sight (after Asura's Wrath).  I am playing Asura's Wrath episode by episode, because it is kind of intense).

These are both games that look a TON better on the PC, almost to the point of looking like different games. If I made a top 10 list of games that look INSANELY better on the PC from this era of gaming, they would be on there.

I played Origins on the Xbox after the PC version as I could not understand why people kept saying the graphics were bad, and I saw why. lol

You've never beat Sunshine? I love Sunshine.

In fact I honestly hope Nintendo makes a new Sunshine on the U instead of another Galaxy. All great games, but I would just appreciate a new Sunshine more at this point. Or maybe a game that combines the best of both.

All new BioWare games with frostbite 2 engine

31.12.12 - BioWare is apparently for all of its upcoming games the frostbite 2 engine dice insert. The said Aaryn Flynn, General Manager at BioWare Edmonton, in the current game informer.

For Dragon age III: Inquisition and the next mass effectgame has been confirming the engine already. Responding to the question whether the engine also in other BioWare titles will be used, Flynn: "I think so.

If we look at the frostbite engine and the success that we have with her and Dragon age III , and think of the support we get from the EA team, then it is simply huge fun to be part of an organization and community the with this technology as does a good job."

And

Miyamoto: with"Pikmin 3 is going more in the direction of Pikmin 1"

30.12.12 - Pikmin 3 is strongly 1 Pikmin (GC, Wii) modelled on, explains producer Shigeru Miyamoto from Nintendo, the current master of the games. When development work on Pikmin 3 began, sat down with the team at a table and looked at exactly the two predecessors to.

"When we looked at Pikmin 1 , we found that it was not a very easy game for some people and they sometimes came into really stressful situations", Miyamoto said.

"Our main goal in Pikmin 2 (GC, Wii) was therefore outside to let the stress so that the game would be very user friendly. I could befriend me personally with this orientation but not to a hundred percent. Pikmin 1 was precisely so, how I had imagined it, and I did so intentionally so the game – there should be a strategic game."

For this reason, Pikmin 3 will be more like Pikmin 1 again. "At the beginning of the work on Pikmin 3 I spoke first with all important people, who at that time worked in Pikmin 2 . I told them that I think it is very important, that you must go back to the roots of Pikmin 1" , as Miyamoto.

"My job was to convince you of my idea. You had to understand what I was with Pikmin 1 had intended and wanted to achieve." Release: Q2 2013 (Europe)

And

Crystal Dynamics: "Zelda and Metroid were inspiration for Tomb Raider"

28.12.12 - Nintendo's legend of Zelda- and Metroid series and Konami's Castlevania were used as a source of inspiration in the development of Tomb Raider. The confirmed Noah Hughes, Creative Director at Crystal Dynamics, the British edge.

Especially the "hub structure" to have cribbed the makers from the other games, in which a central focus in the game world there, to which you always return. Traditionally the Tomb Raidergame were always very linear.

A completely open game world - like in GTA - the developers did not but: they feared that telling the main story might otherwise not properly come in drive and generally too far away would move from the Tomb Raiderseries. Release: dGrinningocuments (Europe)
