Getting very frustrated with Sonic Racers Transformed. The racing itself is very good, but unlocking the tracks is a gigantic pain in the ass. Each world/trophy/circuit has a branching path that ultimately ends up at the goal. In the first half of the game most of the levels are just standard racers with 10 racers battling it out for first. Here are there, they scatter in some Challenge Levels where you have to drive through rings, or slide for a certain amount of time. A few are pretty cool. One of them sort of mimics the final boss fight with Robotnic from Sonic Colors. But most of these challenges can get ridiculously tough, and for a lot of them I've had to play them on the easy level in order to finish them. In the second half of the game it seems like half of the levels are these Challenge Levels. Annoying as hell. Stuff like this should have been made optional or put on the side. It's completely killing my progression through this game.
Dishonored is done. The ending was much longer and better than I expected. Not GOTY but a really cool game. Next up is... I got like 100 games to choose from that I have yet to beat... Walking Dead. I want to finish the GOTY contenders so I can do my awards.
EDIT: Updated my backloggery, 216 unfinished games to be exact. Lets say 100 of those I never want to finish. That still leaves 116 that I plan to play and maybe beat.
I just signed up for Playstation Plus. Downloading a bunch of "free" games now.
Downloading from PSN is damned sloooooow tonight. Installing is even slower! WTF?
Who cares?
What you should be asking is why the hell thevgpress is so slow!
I support your lifestyle choice, but it still gives me the shivers to think about collections being blown apart.
First one was not like that at all. It was challengin, but always fair interms of what content they kept on the top shelf.
I actually enjoyed the Drift Challenge I played, and I have unlocked Amigo, but I am getting nervous reading your impressions, as you are usually a better Kart Racer than I am...
Oh hey, so before we get into what we've been playing this week. Here is what I was not playing:
As for what I've been playing, I beat Mafia II, Spec Ops:The Line and am now playing Asura's Wrath, which is something that is compltely new, fun and so far, without frustration. I hope to beat it today or tomorrow.
Happy Steel? You wanted people talking, I made a whole new VC topic!
I downloaded King of Fighters XIII from PSN. I haven't played a KoF game since the late '90s. I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's fun.
I had no idea what I was doing in the '90s and it was awesome.
Ravenprose
Very much so yes.
However, I notice a distinct lack of ointment talk in there.
If you can get a good grasp on drifting that'll help you quite a bit. Those along with the Ring challenges are the ones that kill my momentum. There's also a few others that rely more on combat, though to me those are a piece of cake. Anyway don't be too scared. If you've got finesse you should be fine with these challenges. Most of my talent in cart racers comes from knowing tracks and knowing how to use the weapons they offer. Actual racing skill will get you farther in this game.
Sup fellas?
I was just at Best Buy browsing, and they had Resident Evil 6 marked at $40...how long has this been the price I wonder? I was tempted to buy, but I held off. Not only did I want to wait for the $20 price point, but I also have a feeling it will end up on the Wii U in some kind of Ninja Gaiden 3 edition type deal at some point.
If it does end up on Wii U it won't be at a discount though. It's discounted on the current consoles because of the inventory glut.
My only problem with the demo was the camera and they say that has been fixed with a patch, so I am more inclined to getting it now. I'm waiting for the $20 mark.
