Doesn't surprise me one bit. ^
I'm kind of scared about my Wii U preorder now....all my reciept says is "Available sku 1"...wtf is that supposed to mean?
"I’m not mates with someone who used ONM to ask teenage girls if they had a boyfriend. Fuck off. Future."
Fucking polygamist teenagers.
SCARE FACTOR DOWN TO ZERO: JUST READ THIS NEOGAF THREAD AFTER GOOGLING "available sku 1":

Before anyone freaks out, it seems that the problem is that the clerk he went to put him down for the wrong SKU. If you pre-ordered the deluxe Wii U then your receipt should read "020358 Available Sku 1". That'll match up to the deluxe model in their system. Apparently 020359 is the basic model number.
Yep, here is a pic of my receipt with the 020358 sku, as long as your receipt looks like this, you're set for deluxe:
That's what mine says, so I'm all set!
Lucky.
I pre-ordered at amazon, should have gone with Zavvi, they were sending out cut price codes for games if you kept your pre-order.
So to sum up:
I noticed that GTA and Halo seemed untouchable at EDGE mag, yet other games weren't. If Nintendo applied zero pressure whilst Rockstar, MS did then we can see why, maybe.
That explains all the perfect 10's for GTA 4.
Don't get me wrong, great great game. But my word, some of those reviews...
So I'm having a problem with my Steam version of Bulletstorm...
Steam gives you the game's product code for any game that requires one. Now, the codes activate automatically on Steam. But if the game uses any other kind of service; Uplay, Origin, Windows LIVE, etc you have to enter the code in like normal.
The problem I am having with Bulletstorm is that they gave me a code that seems to be missing 2 digits at the end. Its supposed to be a code with 5 sets of digits, that each have 5 digits in them (for example, 11111-11111-11111-11111-11111) but instead, my last bracket looks like this "111..."
So since the game uses Windows LIVE to keep track of the achievements and such, I cannot sign in to LIVE with that code..it says its invalid. The game is still playable, but I don't gain any achievements and I'm not sure if I can download any DLC or play multi-player without signing into LIVE.
Very weird...never had this happen before.
Is the number 020358?
If it is, you are fine!
Oops! I really should learn to read all the posts before replying!
Remember this?
The reason for the withholding of review code was, according to Rockstar, a result to the game’s leaking onto the internet seven days before its release. Speaking to the company at the time it was claimed that this leak came from an unscrupulous journalist.
As a result, there was a lock down on all review code: everybody would get their copy just one day before the game’s release, and, despite the wonky logic (after all the game had already leaked to those with the capability to play it so why punish the many for the indiscretion of the few) there were to be “no exceptions, no arguments”.
At best then, by the time the game had been played, copy written and subbed ready for the Tuesday morning, most journalists (both in the UK and the US) had played for only a few hours, experiencing just a fraction of the game’s content, a situation testified to by various admissions in professional reviews.
The BBC noted the phenomenon saying: "Most reviewers were not sent advance copies of the game, and instead had to attend Rockstar offices or sit in booked hotel rooms to play the game,” where Rockstar could keep an eye and some pressure on them.
This guy is nuking his career, but there are some good insights there. Thing is, this sort of stuff happens at other mags/sites or whatever and we don't know about it because we never hear about it till something blows up - like Gertsmanngate.
Its not just gaming either, it definitely goes on with all entertainment.
All about the $$$$.
Maybe it's because we pay more attention to games, but games certainly seem to be far worse off; you need only look at the tone of interviews to see that clearly. Hell, the same applies to previews and announcements: apart from shovelware everything is treated as the second coming of Christ to begin with.
This was exactly what I was talking about in the resident evil thread. This industry is dirty and a lot of reviews pertaining to AAA games are dishonest. So seeing a game of a AAA stature get an "honest review" and a lower score is refreshing because of how much this kind of shit goes on, Not only do people not agree with me (which is fine) but you get some people making snarky comments in the news section here laughing at my opinion about "honest" reviews. Whos laughing now fuckers?
Laughing about "honest" reviews and industry fuckery are not mutually exclusive, and both are hilarious.
I'm happy to say I was laughing then, and I'm laughing now!
Some heads had to roll at Capcom after all the RE6 scores. Seriously. Possibly even seppuku.
Wow, when you read this post tired it looks like you wrote:

Well I am all about the ass. I'll take a girl with a great ass and small boobies anyday, over a girl with no ass and big boobies.
Though I definitely like both.
