NGamer reviews NSMB 2
NSMB2 is yet another great Mario platform game, with some cracking new features, but it’s too similar to earlier games in the ‘New’ series to be a classic in its own right.

travo (2m)
I dont think I am going to finish Boarderlands 1 so definetly not Boarderlands 2. Its Darksiders 2 for me.
'K then. I guess I'll see what system Travo is getting Borderlands 2 for then. I know HE'S going to want it!
What system for Darksiders 2 then? From what I understand, you can share loot between players in that game!
**Mmmmmm... Loot!**
You're going to wait?! This doesn't intrigue you?! Yeah, sounds great. Whatever.
Just kidding!
Just wanted to remind you who they replaced the Final Fantasy characters with!
'Cause, you know, sometimes memories just need a little help getting out...
...like poop!
I know Leo, I will get it when I go on a trip.
Alan Wake finished, the last episode was crappy like the first two. And I am not shocked to see the story go absolutely nowhere.
Sorry to hear that Travo.
New man cave for Travo!
EDIT: and obviously, sorry you have to deal with that. Hope the man cave made you smile.
Hope he gets better.
I'm assuming since Valve is gaming royalty we won't see the same backlash we saw against Sony and EA when they did this:
"Valve has issued an update to its Steam Subscriber Agreement that effectively prevents all Steam users from joining in class action lawsuits against the company. Valve's new SSA requires that "you [the user] and Valve agree to resolve all disputes and claims... in individual binding arbitration," mimicking similar language added by EA to its Origin service agreement and Microsoft with Windows 8."
I'll sit back and wait for the moral outrage to flow through Patrick Klepeck's keyboard.
Speaking of Steam:
"Steam's Midweek Madness is channeling the last of its summertime energy into a massive deal on every single one of the Indie Bundles from its Summer Sale, titled "Indie Bundle Madness." Each one of the 11 bundles is discounted from $40 to $10 now through 4 p.m. PST on Thursday."
So The Old Republic is going to free to play up to level 50 now. They have fallen under 1 million active users (no idea how many paying subscribers).
$400 million invested. Will another MMO in the WoW model ever be made again?
It's interesting/ funny to see how an entire industry confused a successful game with being a sustainable genre for multiple companies. Except for Ubisoft you don't see the other large publishers trying to pull off their own version of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They just accept it's Nintendo's lightning in a bottle and try their own thing. Some things just can;t be succesfully replicated. At this point I am wondering if Blizzard can ever come up with a viable replacement for WoW.
But it was before World of Warcraft. Maybe it's just coincidence but the international market has crapped out since WoW. Pre-WoW there were many, hugely successful Asian (mainly Korean) MMORPGs that were at least comparable to WoW, but since WoW they've all started to die off. I say it could be coincidence because many of them were old at the time, and I really have no idea how newer MMORPGs from Asia are doing because I stopped playing MMORPGs around the time WoW came out.
God of War is hardcore? I enjoy the series, but it's not exactly hardcore.
If GoW is considered hardcore and it is in danger than wtf will happen to games like Bayonetta and DMC.
It's not on Nintendo consoles. It's hardcore.
Okay, phew... So it's not just me.
Foolz was right, we are hardcore snobs. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Just spent a wasted hour lurking around gamespot. Reading up on what happened to the GGD->PGD and the moderation cahnges in December.
It's ground zero over there isn't it? Sad to see really. Vader had a huge old post on E3, only got five comments.
I'm starting to see what Leo was talking about. It's as if no-one has keyboards anymore and all communication is well-under 140 characters.
Not gloating or anything, just kind of astonished.
