I bought my sister a new used original Xbox for her birthday, as per her request. Damn, I forgot how heavy those suckers are!
Your sister is very lucky to have a fine brother. I wish my sibling buoght me original an orignial XBOX, I could use one.
What playing?
I've been playing mostly Bioshock and Kingdom Hearts this week. Yesterday I got some alternate gaming in and played Katamari Damacy (PS2 original), The Getaway (PS2), -- I really want to play this after I clean up my current games to see how much LA Noire is in it --, NHL Hitz Pro (PS2), Rugby 2004 (PS2), and The Simpson's Hit and Run (PS2).
Also played R-TYPES on SNES, All-Star Baseball '99 on N64 and even dabbled with Metal Gear on NES for a while.
Yeah, Lady Aspro still playing Mass Effect 2 on primary gaming rig. She's almost finished, she did quite a few more side missions than I.
Original Xboxes are really cheap here; it was only $25. I expected to pay $40-50 for it, since that's what they tend to go for on Ebay. I need to find a component cable since composite looks pretty bad on her HDTV.
I've been playing:
Just finished Harley Quinn DLC in AC. It took like 2-3 hours. Not that great but its more Batman. Being Robin is cool and they could have used his gadgets a bit more but there isnt enough game here to put it to good use. There is a few new areas but most of it is old areas. The story is offers more questions than anything. Apparently Batman is being super weird since what happened and they really dont get into except let you know he is acting strange.
Recettear: Fast paced and addictive. Although I have no clue how am I going to raise 300K pix for my next payment.
Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga. Just started it, seems like a nice action rpg even though its combat doesn't totally click with me yet.
A while back I purchased Costume Quest for PSN. It was another fantastic (and underrated) Double Fine game. There was a DLC installment for it, so I picked up it up this weekend and played through it. Great stuff. Also played some Rainbow Moon and finally tried out Red Dead Redemption's multiplayer mode. . . where I was repeatedly killed by some kid with a headset that clearly has not started puberty yet.
Still playing Ghost Recon and Diablo 3....been slacking lately, fiddling around with many games while not really PLAYING them.
