I've made a pledge not to spend more than $20 per game until the holiday season. Still too much good stuff out there I haven't played. So with that in mind I picked up BioShock. Still can't believe I waited this long to try it. Good stuff thus far.
Played nothing. I spent my waking hours of this whole weekend mostly driving. Now that I'm back, though, I need to decide on what the fuck to play. So many choices just make the process slower.
Xenoblade. Though this week is DS week. I miss Xenoblade.
I have been playing Fire Emblem SStones.
I had to swerve at the last minute so I didn't destroy this character who I wanted to recruit.
Then a swordfighter with a killing edge, snuck in through the gap I had to leave and killed Lute in one blow, while I was 50 minutes into the mission.
LOL
Miyamoto checking out Kinect from E3 a couple years back.
I guarantee that Square-Enix, Nintendo rumor is all about a New Super Mario RPG.
I've always enjoyed Miyamoto & and dude from NOA's look of disgust at that event.
It looks very similar to the look of disgust I display every time Nintendo either refuses to release a great game or takes way too long to do it in the west.
Another day, another multiformat game not coming to Wii U.
Epic Mickey 2? Nope
RE6? Nope
Crysis 3? Nope
So, at this point do you think companies are holding back till E3? Does Nintendo have some NDA's in place? Other 3rd party software is already known about like Aliens, NG3, Darksiders 2, Killer Freaks etc so if they are allowed to show their games, maybe people just don't want to develop on Wii U?
Thoughts?
Hmmm...
I think its a mixture of people holding back for E3 and people wanting to take a wait & see approach like they do with every Nintendo console.
That's one thing I've learned over the years; Sony & Microsoft get the benefit of the doubt, people just assume they will do well for them. Nintendo on the other hand, many people seem to assume they are going to fail and if they don't they start developing for them too late to matter anyway. I will be shocked if Capcom doesn't commit Resident Evil 6 to Nintendo though.
SO far Crysis 3 doesn't look any better than Crysis 2 IMO.
Capcom port everything to everything so I have no worry about RE6. But it might release a year later with all the DLC on the disc as a special edition.
As opposed to how it will release this October, with all the DLC on the disc, that you have to pay for later to unlock.
I think it's what you said, they take a wait and see approach then it's too late. By the time they enter the fray, usually at the tail end of year 2 or early year 3 the consoles image has already formed and the games they make are usually weak anyway and the gamers have gone elsewhere. It's circular, a problem of their own making.
Plus my post you asshole!
EDIT: Thank you!
I think now is a great time for Nintendo to make Super Mario Sunshine 2.
Can you imagine how beautiful a game in that setting would look on their new hardware?
Crysis Barrel run:
I don't know what they can do after Galaxy 2, another Galaxy game in the same style would be boring. Maybe if the levels were bigger. I'm eager to see what is next for mario. Sunshine just needed to be finished properly and not rushed like it was along with Wind Waker.
That's awesome.
Seems a safe bet though I don't know why Nintendo would need to license any S-E characters. I'm pretty sure Nintendo owns the characters from the original Super Mario RPG. I'm thinking some kind of Dragon Quest/Mario crossover. Or it could be the Mushroom Kingdom Hearts thats been drooled over for so long.
PREPARE TO HIT THE HIDE BUTTON AS LOTS OF PICS ARE INCOMING
Project Cars screens, Nintendo logo spotted. Since it wont be appearing in 360/PS3 versions the screens are PC? Would Nintendo allow their logo in a PC game?
To me the second half of the pics looks much better than the first 6 images so maybe the first few pics is Wii U, second half PC screens?
Hmmm, now someone is saying that the pics are all PC but by a modder?
