You are correct!
So....... 3DS virtual console games.
All old ass games, most of them black and white. Seriously, why no gba games on this fricking service? It's just typical Nintendo being painfully awkward here. They can put N64, SNES, even Genesis and Neo Geo games on the Wii virtual console, yet they completely avoid getting gba games up on 3DS. I know it's coming eventually but they needed to do it already and announce it already. Meanwhile I'm watching them update archaic NES games in 3D. Screw that, start by putting Link to the Past in 3D, then do some gba games for chrissakes.
Also, Japan and Germany are getting this 3DS video service tommorrow. The rest of europe may be getting it too but no one knows as all we have is a german press release.
EDIT:
Confirmation for Europe
So seeing how I'm the only european 3DS owner here I will get you some impressions.
Where is the U.S 3DS video channel?
And, I just completed Dodongos cavern on the Master Quest of Ocarina of Time. Maaaaaaaan I had to make an illogical leap of faith to complete this one. Think outside of the box. If you've never played Master Quest I can wholeheartedly reccomend it. The overworld is the same but every dungeon is completed in a different way once you are in there and there is some pretty clever stuff too.
Edgy while we are on the subject of beer.
Al Bundy ruled. They don't make shows like that anymore.
Watch Modern Family, it is not the same, but still funny and it has Ed O'Neil and his wife is smoking.
Sonofa.... where is mine?
Whoa, there are some cool 3D Pixel racing pics here, check them out. I can't post them with opera. There are screens of the weather effects, night driving and splitscreen.
It sorta reminds me of this.
I'm sure it will come in time. Nintendo is probably taking a lesson from the criticism they got over the Wii's Virtual Console. In the first two years they released almost everything they were able to get a license for, and then after that it slowed down to a trickle. GBA titles will probably be made available after a year or so when they want to give the 3DS another shot in the arm. Frankly I don't think it's a huge deal. Most of the GBA games I liked were ports or remakes of 8 bit and 16 bit games anyway, and I already have them on other sources.
I don't believe this licence stuff. Look at the paltry N64 linue up on the VC. Come on, Activision and EA and all would easily give the thumbs up to their games being on there.
That was more likely a case of poor planning on Nintendo's part with the size restrictions. Natsume wanted to put Harvest Moon 64 on the VC, but couldn't condense the game down to a small enough size and eventually said it just wasn't going to happen. I suspect that was a problem for other companies as well.
You know that reminds me, you know what would be a great game on the 3DS? Tetrisphere. If they nail the 3D effect just right with it they'd have a hell of a puzzle game on their hands.
Link's Awakening and Donkey Kong are not so-so games.
Kirby's Dreamland was a pretty good game too. The 3DS VC didn't get stacked like the Wii VC did, which had a dozen games on its launch, but I don't think there's anything to really complain about yet. If they had a dozen games there already would someone have bought them all already?
I guess I should say it's short only becau I am skipping the cutscenes though. It's made by Rockstar Toronto, I'm guessing they used the same engine as Manhunt.
It checkpoints at each pivotal point of the mission (much better than GTA) and then saves at the end of each mission.
This is why you'll miss out on many good gaming experiences.
x-boxers:
"From July 19 through July 25, it's all GTA, with GTAIV add-ons Ballad of Gay Tony for 800 MSP, The Lost and Damned for 400, and GTA San Andreas for 800 points."
"From today through July 18, you'll be able to get the RDR Undead Nightmare Collection (containing three separate DLC packs) for 1,000 Microsoft Points"
RE: EA Server shutdowns, which is something they do regularly, now that they are charging an "extra" $10 for an online pass do you think their responsibility to keep multiplayer servers on changes?
The online pass is included in the price of a new purchase, but added to the price of a used game, so for every "owner" of the game they are now being assured a minimum of $10 -- explicitly for the online mode.
