I watched it. The scale and grandeur is incredible. It's not my sort of game but it looks like the sort of game where the dedicated and adventurous, would come out with amazing lifelong gaming memories.
You don't play JRPGs? It's a linear JRPG like any other, it just happens to have a huge world with loads of side quests and things to find. You don't really see any gameplay in these videos, just running, with a cheat or something (or maybe they're so much lower level that they avoid him) so no enemies get hostile.
The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.

New Devin Townsend ( solo artist, Strapping Young Lad frontman ) double album came out today, and I'd advise anyone who likes uncompromising and innovative rock/metal music to pick them up immediately. Amazing shit, the guy has outdone himself yet again!
The mellow side is called Ghost:
And the heavy side is called Deconstruction:
Amazing shit....the man is a genius.
Playing more OoT and I am convinced more than ever that 3D is our future. All handheld devices should look like this, it is so freaking awesome.
Yawn...
"Peripheral maker Hori put a countdown page on its site leading to the reveal of an exciting mystery product ... and it's a new PS3 controller! Maybe the Hori Pad 3 Pro isn't the dramatic reveal we expected, but it looks like a pretty nice device.
The Hori Pad 3 Pro builds on previous Hori controller offerings with a d-pad that can be rotated to provide the most comfortable position, as well as customizable d-pad input range. We don't really understand how that last one works, though it seems to involve setting the range between two directions at which a diagonal input is registered.
It also features customizable analog stick sensitivity, three levels of turbo fire with a quick activation button on the back of the controller ... and, unfortunately, a wire. The Horipad Pro will be released in Japan on July 21. Odds are pretty good you'll be able to get one soon after; Amazon stocks previous Hori Pad variants."
You're not much of a handheld gamer, but do you see yourself spending more time with the 3DS than you did with the old DS or see it replacing time you spend with your consoles, assuming of course the software shows up for it.
Didn't they make this same pad for the PS2?
I couldn't find anything.

They made this controller:
As cool as it looked I don't think a more awkward to use controller has ever existed (aside from some of the crap that MadCatz has made over the years).
I would so fucking buy the shit out of that controller. My new favorite anything are slimes.
For those who have not seen it in use:
I want a slime beanbag.
Who or what is that in your avatar, aspro?
After 6 days, someone finally broke down and asked.
I am cycling through avatars I made of Catweazel, a medievel wizard who was accidentally transported to England in the late 1960's. He is fascinated by modern technologies, like electricity and telephones. He has a pet toad who was transported with him.
I don't know why it occurred to me to do this, but I like his style.
^ Huh.... this whole time I thought it was the old guy from the beginniing credit of Monty Python's Flying Circus.
What was the name of that movie where Jean Reno and some other french dude got transported from the middle ages to modern France?
Edit: Found it. Les Visiteurs.
^That was Les Visiteurs.
Catweazel was a documentary I beleive. I've never really looked into it (I'm a busy man).
"Catweazle is a magician from the time of the Normans who is cast into the future by magic. With the help of two boys he uses magic in an attempt to return to his own time."
Aspro believes in magic!
Pitchford tweeted this today, "Comment RE: looking at DNF for narrative depth: "It's like Rolling Stone magazine trying to find a deep meaningful message in a Ke$ha song.""
Let it go Randy. Move on. Make Borderlands 2.
Wada responded that Square Enix must consider making the game compatible with both the Wii and its successor, the Wii U. The company is currently doing technical investigations on how to support Wii U, said Wada.
Is this guy missing the point? Wii games are compatible with Wii U. All of them.
Huh, I thought Yokota was doing the music?
