I just picked up the LA Noire soundtrack. After listening to it a couple times I have an overwhelming urge to drink and smoke. Problem is I don't smoke and I only have rum and vodka in the house, and this is really bourbon music. Maybe gin music. At any rate you can see the problems I'm dealing with at the moment.
The rate that the 360 version is going, good god.
Thing is, I saw the PC version, and that'd be the one I want to play the most!
I go to a party on a Sunday Night and NO ONE else can do it...?
What have you Lazy Bums been Playing This Weekend?
Me:
"I can feel it coming over me, I feel it all around me. I've been waiting for this moment all my life, it's my destiny."
Who knew the Makers of Super StarDust HD could make a Metroid Style, Action Adventure game THIS good?!
Does this game Spark or Fizzle? Right now, Couldn't Tell ya!
Played a LOT of Infamous this weekend. The original now freebie from Sony, not the sequel. It's fun, I'll say that. Got some gripes, but overall iti's kept my attention. Should finish it up in the next day or so.
I was waiting fro someone else to do it.
Hitman: Codename 47
3 missions in. A relic from an age gone by, in all its glory; no saves or checkpoints, ass-ugly. Frustratingly hard. Obnoxiously unforgiving. Ruthless. But at the same time, engaging and rewarding once you figure your way out. In an era where every single game dev seems eager to cater to soft people with big flashing arrows or bright breadcrumb trails, unearthing this game is akin to breathing a mouthful of dank, fetid air upon entering an ancient tomb. A reminder of the times where finishing a game actually meant something.
Other than that, the usual suspects. Uncharted 2, and I installed the whole Civ IV collection. Wonder when am I going to play them.
What's up with the buff, body-builder woman in the black dress in that pic?! Is she someone you have to kill? She looks like she'd be pretty tough!
Her shoulders are HUGE!
Someone needs to lose a few polygons!!
Nah, it's just some NPC from a mission. She does look pretty stout.
I put in a lot of time with Infamous as well. I should be finished with it this week sometime, unless I get sidetracked. I'm taking my sweet time with LA Noire, collecting Golden Film Reels at the moment. I have about ten out of fifty. I even managed to get five stars on one mission, something I can't seem to duplicate. I am in no rush to finish, just like with RDR last year. This is my game of the summer, I'm just soaking everything in. Oh yeah, I did spend some time with Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2. Got my ass handed to me in UC2's mp.
I hate it when writers don't fact check!
From a Destructoid Article:
"One of the huge bombshells of E3 2011 was the announcement that Tekken was coming to the 3DS and the Wii U. This is the first time that the series has made it to Nintendo consoles, and it looks like they're both off to a great start."
*ahem!*
You are playing too many games at the same time Travo.
=-=-
Me: beat Brutal Legend.
Played a bunch of DS games before quitting on all of them -- mostly of them RPGs. Children of Mana, Chrono Trigger, 999 (not an RPG, just not what I want). Played some PES on DS.
I wish I had FF6 on advance, damnit.
So now playing Gears 2 and Dark Alliance 2 with the wife. Also playing Psychonauts. I am 1.5 hours in. I wish I could just play the damn levels, but there is this portal level in ht emiddle which gives no direction and I'm having trouble figuring out how to get to the next level. Other than that it's pretty good.
I kind of started Dead Head Fred on the PSP -- it's a third person action game from the people who did Total Overdose.
X-com and Prey 2 seems to have been the sleeper hits of E3. They've been getting a lot of praise.
I would join you on Gears 2 if you like.
I don't have gold anymore. I wasn't not using my 360 enough.
We don't count that. It was crap.
Mine is about to run out, but I will resubscribe for one more year, then it's up in the air.
First thought? Awesome.
Second thought? Uh oh.
"The Xbox 360 250GB slim models are getting a new processor that the company says will cut down on heat and manufacturing costs, among other benefits.
The System-on Chip (SoC) processor combines the GPU (graphics processor), CPU (main processor), memory, and I/O logic into a single chip.
Microsoft says the chip is five years in the making, and will cut down not only on the processors used and the manufacturing costs associated with this, but also the size of the motherboard, power supply, and offer better heat management. The company says that there will be no compatibility issues with older software."
3 levels in. Fun so far. I have no idea what I'm doing, though.
You don't have to in Streets of Rage. You just go left and beat up dudes. Bad dudes.
Well in Streets of Rage 2 I'm going right and beating up bad dudes! And dudettes for that matter.
Just to demonstrate my ignorance it took me nearly a whole level to realise that one of the attacks I was using that did great damage also damaged myself. I had been wondering why I was taking so much damage despite slaughtering everyone! I thought it was cause I raised the difficulty.
I played Nintendogs over the weekend, there is tons of stuff to unlock, I got a huge selection of dogs now and you keep unlocking new items and furniture and stuff hours and hours into the game. I unlocked a science fiction room which I could use to redecorate my house.
I also played more GTA San Andreas. The 1 gun shop in the game still wont show up even though I go to the precise point on the map . So I decided to drive about and unfog the rest of the map to find more. The game is huge compared to the older GTAs, though there is a lot of countryside redundancy. Still though, no other gun shops.
What is pissing me off at the moment is robbing these crates with a forklift truck. You get to a certain point and the busta rhymes dude is NOT doing his job and covering you, so a guard literally runs up to you, point blank and pulls you off the forklift, then shoots you dead. What makes it worse is that the lock on does not work in the split second you have to react between being thrown to the floor and standing up, so you are dead in the blink of an eye. Bullshit design.
