Steam dealz: (It's Ubisoft's week)
Updated my PSP's today. Doesn't appear to have anything different on the front end.
Overpriced.
More companies should give away solid DLC -- it's an enticement to not sell back your copy to GameStop etc...
No need to entice people to not do something inherently evil when it should just be made illegal instead.
^ With me summarily executing pirates and you jailing people who trade in games we'd make quite the Gaming Justice Force.
I have not bought a used game in three years, but not by choice. I only used to pay new for games I wanted to reward or would be hard to find on the gray market.
Quite accurate given that I'm the one with the proper Master Chief get up.
There's an area called Brick Lane which is famous for curries as that's where most Indians and Pakistanis settled to begin with. I don't eat sushi, it makes me gag.
It was a 3D dungeon in that it had verticality but the map wasn't 3D and you had to shift water about to experiment with levels and then you had to put those boots on in a laboured manner.
Don't eat there, they did consumer tests over here and the salt level is unbelievable.
Brick Lane is wonderful for curries but there's great curry joints elsewhere too. My favourites are one place in Wembley and one in Belsize Park.
Sushi is not so great in London. Hugely overpriced and not very fresh. I'm a sushi lover and the best I ever had was in San Diego. No comparison really.
I dislike subways. It disgusts me that they market themselves as the healthy alternative fastfood when they're just as bad as the burger joints
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Throw out the forks and spoons, go to a relevant country, invade someone's homes and never eat curry from a restaurant ever again.
I can't decide if Tokyo Jungle will be the best game ever, or the worst game ever.
I think this is a lion facing off with a hyena in a construction hat.
So yeah, I'm doing something real crazy for June. Should make for fun times.
Are you talking about the Bicycle club?
So you're going to get a Wii and play Wii games? /Level3 mode

"Better get a Wii, theres a lot of crap on that"
Patent: PSMove-compatible PSP Go dock
A patent filed by Sony back in November 2009 (and recently published) with the USPTO seems to indicate that the company was once exploring methods of integrating its colorfully-tipped Move controllers into its handheld video games. The patent in question is for a dock which, in an attached illustration, fits a folded-shut PSP Go. The dock includes a built-in camera which functions like a PlayStation Eye, detecting Move controllers in a narrow radius in front of the dock.
If Sony's actually looking into developing this peripheral, it's far more likely that they're doing so for the NGP rather than the nearly-defunct PSP Go. If it is a real thing, though, it's definitely going to bring up some intriguing metaphysical questions. For instance: Is a handheld gaming device still a handheld gaming device when it's not hand-held?
No suprises as to why this idea was canned. The guy is standing 10 feet away for move to work and looking at a screen a few inches across.
Weird tweets from Christoper Seavor (former Rare graphics engineer):
Some more Gothic II Gold screens, in the same first city still. I've gotten eaten by dinosaurs, met a pirate, a mage who wants me to test a spell by knocking someone out or otherwise turning them hostile and then using the spell to make them forget it ever happened, took a mission to find a thieves' guild, and all sorts of things, though I've barely accomplished anything yet, my character is pretty pathetic currently. I can barely kill a few rats or oversized bugs in a row, then I have to go rest again (I don't wanna waste potions and other healing items at this point) so I've just done some of that and explored the city and surrounding area hoarding items on the way to sell or keep for later use. I've also met loads of people who can train me in various skills, from weapon based to things like skinning and lockpicking, some in exchange for gold others in return for certain tasks, but I haven't invested any of the hard earned learning points outside one handed weapon efficiency, which may have been a mistake at this point since it doesn't seem to have made much difference yet, so perhaps I should have invested in increasing my base stats first instead.

But seriously, this is a 2002 game. Sure, it's ugly and clunky but those are design issues (the art is pretty awful) more than technology based flaws. Why didn't anyone try a large scale project like this on Wii? It could have looked a lot better (say, with an art style like that of Battalion Wars II), and played more polished and console like (think Zelda with stats and spells, I guess), while keeping everything that makes this great (open world, loads of quests, choices that shape the story, voice overs for pretty much everything, etc). Yet developers wanted us to believe it can barely handle rendering anything outside tiny cramped or indoor environments making any effort for something beyond a rail shooter a lost cause. Older games like this one can show systems now considered underpowered are still capable of great ambitious gameplay, if only they're designed properly. This needed a 700 MHz CPU, and a shitty 32 MB GPU (they didn't even state the speed back then, just the video ram it should have) at the time. That's comparable to a Wii in numbers, except the much older architecture, and being a PC, meant they're much less efficient. Not to mention the progress in software (as well as content, with better optimisations and better aesthetics) development since. </rant>
