Yeah, they did nothing for 10 years
Hitler died May 30th local time and Bin Laden May 2nd local time. Maybe they both died May 1st American time.
Bush and his cronies get send to Hague for war crimes. The greedy bankers get sendt to jail. And pigs develop wings and learn to fly.
We can still dream, right?
Robio is in the US, so I was talking about vulnerabilities there.
Not to be a nitpicker, but since you're already doing it:
A. I said Hitler was "announced" dead on May 1st. Media outlets were not so fast in those days, and many did not even make the announcement up until 3 days after the fact.
B. The Madrid bombing was never actually linked to Al-Quida. It was "inspired" by Al-Quida, but they never actually found a link. Not that there's any shortage of crap they pulled since 9/11. Just nothing quite on that level thank god.
Getting back to the PSN thing, I would have liked to have seen Sony come out a little more honestly and make a real announcement of how many "real" accounts there are out there. Plenty of people have multiple accounts. Hell I have two - one of which was for my PSP that I've since forgotten the login and password to (which pisses me off because I bought Street Fighter Alpha 2 for it). Plus of the 77 million accounts, how many do you think actually had credit cards attached to them. Maybe a third? Would have liked to have seen that number. It couuld have taken some heat off of them, but then of course the inflated 77 million number would officially be bullshit. Cant have that. Got to keep the pride and prestige intact.
I have 5 PSN accounts, and I tend to believe everybody else has at least the same number.
I think the number was just over 10 million (according to the latest podcast). So yeah, of the 77 mill, 10 million CC's.
The article above also enumerates the number of accounts in each country. US has the most -- I assume that is because we are all the most adept at setting up multiple accounts in error/ on purpose.
EDIT: Steel just made my point about muluitple accounts.
Microsoft is serious about Kinect. Apparently RARE wasn't enough -- they have opened second Kinect-only studio.
"The new studio will reportedly be working on a Kinect-based shooter for Microsoft’s core base."
This demonstrates to me that either:
1. New XBOX isn't even close to being launched. AND/ OR
2. Kinect will continue into the next XBOX
So when will Kinnect get a good game?
December 21, 2012.
There is tons of Iwata quotes today regarding wii, 3ds and Wii 2. I can't be bothered to post it. It's interesting but not essential.
Meh. Fuck Iwata.
Agreed. I read most of them, and none of them say anything revelatory. NEWS FLASH Iwata Wants 3DS to Succeed! - no shit.
he did say this however, which may explain why certain Nintendo games have not been dated yet:
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has indicated that the company is waiting to announce release dates for certain marquee Nintendo-published 3DS titles to ensure that third-party releases aren't negatively impacted. In a press Q& A accompanying a recent investor briefing, Iwata said the precise release dates for 3DS Super Mario and Mario Kart titles would depend on the release plans to be announced by third-party publishers.
So do you guys think it was suspicious that Bin Laden was found at a huge compound neat a militairy academy? I think Pakistani officials were actively hiding him there. They have a history of harboring terrorists, just ask India.
I have no doubt that there were some higher up Pakistani officials that knew exactly what was up. The lastest news now is that American did not inform the Pakistani government about what they did until it was over, and now there are protests in Pakistan about this.
Either way Pakistan looks bad. Either they knew he was there and hid him from us, or he was in their backyard of the capital and they didn't know. God I'd hate to be the US Embassador to Pakistan right now.
Perhaps. The ISI runs Pakistan, and they are very capable of something like that, but I would see them being a bit smarter about it.
I'll go as far as saying that if Pakistan had been told of the raid prior to it happeneing, he would have gotten away. I read General Musharraf's book, and from what I can tell the ISI can pick up as many terrorists as they want, depending on what they want to extract from the US (or if they have to make nice).
I'd hate to be in Pakistan right now. The country is a shithole right now. There are plently of political assasinations, religious persecutions and the country is sliding towards extremism. They are actually moving backwards right now.
The scariest thing is that they have a nuclear arsenal. If they did not have that India would have wiped them out after the Mumbai bombings.
Well Microsoft has seemed serious about Kinect from day one given the amount of advertising dollars poured into it and given how well it's been selling they certainly should be serious about it. Very nice to see them open up a new studio for it. I'm still very interested in seeing some great third party support for it, probably some big showings at E3 and TGS.
As for whether or not their next gen console is close to being ready I guess that would be dependant on one's definition. They have been hiring engineers to develop it and I'm sure they've been developing and prototyping a number of ideas for it but right now they really aren't in need of bringing one out until I'd say 2013 by the earliest. If Kinect keeps on selling like it is there's really no reason to not include it in their next console. The tech for it will also certainly be improved for it as well.True about the advertising.
As for the next MS console, they have already said it's been in develpoment for years -- all the platform holders are in a constant chain of R&D. (I was not suggesting that it was not in development).
I do question the sales of Kinect being an indication of its popularity though. Isn't it true that it is virtually impossible to buy a new 360 without one?
