Oh. The Mask. That's riiight.
The Mask is about 6 inches tall itself, but the stand adds about 2 more...
...for a total of about 8 inches high.
WHAT! I got the stinking HAT! I should have gone for that statue, that's way cooler.
I KNOW I am definitely Platinum...

^Me neither, and I have a ton of games to register too. The stupid site didn;t log all the registrations and surveys I did when I went there last year, so I kinda gave up on the rewards program after that.
The Nintendo Club is a confusing mess. It's broken up into different stretches of the year so any game you register earlier will count for the previous year and anything you register too late it counts toward next year! That's what the cycle seems like. I think it takes place in June or July or something like that.
I'm at gold right now and I have no idea what I registered!

I didn't want it for the Wii since I already have Jam for it.

I think I'm reaching the point of diminishing returns on GT5. Still a great time, but shit design decisions have slowly gotten into my nerves. I would at least want to finish the A spec list of events before calling it quits, but I dunno. Currently working on the last tier (Extreme).
To cool down for a while, I played a bit of Mirror's Edge. Good platforming bits, but horrid combat. Unneeded and clunky. Chapter 3 of 9. It's supposed to be a short game, so I'm confident I'll wrap it up before this year ends. If I don't get too pissed before that.
I avoided combat in the game until I was at least 3/4s of the way through. Just try running by them. As for you gettign pissed before then... EDIT: could not find it, must have put it into a ggweekly rather than the forums. But here is your original thread about the game).
In any case, I think the second last level is one that involves an atrium that is under construction and it drove me NUTs. But overcoming that level was the day I became a true gamer. It was a transformative moment that was achieved from a zen-like state of mind of repeatedly failing until I succeeded. Foolz and Yoda were there as witnesses, wish I could find it.
GOTY talk. In a few hours gamespot will give their "special achievement" awards. Not so much about gamespot, but interestign to talk about anyway is the category "Most surprisingly good game"
They nominate, Deadly Premonition, Alice in Wonderland (DS), Sonic All-Star Racing, Hydro Thunder Hurricane and Monday Night Combat (and yes, I just went and bought Alice in Wonderland).
I bought DP and SAS Racing out of those five, I'm always one for the little games that get overlooked -- did you guys get surpirsed by any games this year? Either big name or not?
(Oh, and, they included COD:BLOPS in the one of five best games for Wii this year (others were SMG2, Kirby's Yarn, Sin and Punishment 2 and DKCReturns).
I might start avoiding combat then.
I remember that thread. The game looked so fresh to me back then. I still think it's a game nobody should miss, especially if you like action games. However, given enough time, the small but nagging details start to show its ugly face. And chief among them is the shit combat.
I got surprised by some ass-backwards decisions from PD in GT5, but I don't think that's what you were talking about.
I always wanted to check out Alice in Wonderland for the DS ever since Gamespot gave it a high score, just to see what it's about.
Post some impressions when you can, Aspro.

Seriously. DODGE COMBAT. I was able to have no kills until I got to a level where you are up on catwalks inside a warehouse, and there are some little offices on the ground level. At that point you have to start killing, but before that you can avoid all combat (it's faster and more fun that way).
Did you use guns?
In the combat that was required, I used guns exclusively.
The last few levels are the best. Things either become very fast or very complex. Great stuff. Keep going!
