Winter: Wii
"Developer n-Space created a demo for a dark survival horror called Winter shortly after the Wii was launched, but shelved it due to the lack of publisher interest. Four years later, after an online petition, n-Space have brought it back as Winter 2.0 and it might, just might, find itself a publisher soon."
Wow I completely forgot about this N-Space horror game that was supposed to come out on Wii years ago. If they do indeed find a publisher, I'll buy it just out of respect for their passion. Hell if it incorporates some of the ideas from Giest it could be great. Cmon Nintendo Japan, let NOA publish and stop being bitches.
Did you guys know there's a Call Of Duty pak on the 360 that has COD2, COD3, & World at War in it? Pretty cool...doesn't have Modern Warfare though. I guess it was meant to have a WW2 theme.
Why would you get your hopes up over an article about "lost games"? There's been no new info in ages. And it was never supposed to come out, it was just a tech demo nobody wanted to fund that somehow went public. I dunno why that site is presenting it as if just yesterday they made the 2.0 version, that was early last year's GDC attempt. Anyway, Shattered Memories is all wintery and looks better and more polished, you can play that instead... They even have some of the same interactivity features, though I guess Shattered Memories lacks wolves.
The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's still coming out. It's being released on the Phantom.
Castlevania is going to be a massive game:
Lords of Shadow is not a game you're going to plow through in a single sitting. On the map screen there are 12 chapters, each with multiple stages and some seriously long boss battles. After playing for nearly eight hours, I was slashing my way through Chapter 3. The story, as told through detailed in-game cutscenes, seemed to be just getting started.
There are heaps of collectibles, upgradeable combat techniques, and everything is tracked by a percentage rating for each stage in a chapter. I hadn't completed more than 50 percent for any of them, but I did unlock individual challenges that entice players to go back and retry stages while meeting specific goals. By the end of the day, I was overwhelmed by the scope of the game and still felt as though I'd barely scratched the surface.
YES YES YES! Looks like there will be a shit ton of content. I love the idea of challenges for previous stages, all action games should do something like that.
If it ever does end up coming out, it sounds like a great idea. So I'd likely get it if it was at least as good as Giest. Already played Silent Hill.
Niiiiice.
It looked pretty lame. Flashback thread:
Winter: Another canned Mature Wii title
That is pretty cool. I have COD 2 on 360 but only played it for 20 minutes.
It's not coming out, that's just wishful thinking by the writer. No one wants to bite.
Updating, watch this now:
