So, tiring motions shouldn't be called out? Because besides retarded, it IS tiring.
So how do you masturbate?
Yeah, Red Steel 2 would be so much better with buttons
Agreed!
I don't. And I have no idea why would you bring that up anyway.
But I guess defending poorly implemented motion controls calls for poorly chosen analogies.
The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.

You guys need to chill. Right fucking now?
Yes, tiring motion controls are an error in implementation. They shouldn't be tiring. If I find them tiring, they're an error to me, regardless of your flawed viewpoint. Motion controls for jumping in a platformer such as De Blob are like having a FPS that requires you to flick your wrist every time you shoot a bullet. They eventually become a nuisance.
The only one making appointments to a doctor should be you, although I believe your short-sightedness is beyond any correction anyway.
I'm done anyway.
I am not ass, it is just a pain. This isn't sword slashing in Zelda where the action is sort of on/off, there doesn't need to be any nuance to it. With jumping it is all about precision, it's all about timing and flicking the wiimote does not allow the same level of control as a button press. But its not just that, I don't like how bouncing off the walls is handled, its sticky and de blob jumps in strange directions, partly due to the camera. The lock on will many times lock on to what you don't want to lock onto. In a platformer you should not be relying on those things, does Mario need a lock on, no.
Its a great game but you can't tell me with a straight face that it is an excellent controlling platformer cause it is not.
He is his own doctor.
I just want to make clear that I am not in the tired camp, a can shake my wrist for hours.
I bet you can.
I am trying to wrap my brain around how "right fucking now?" can be a question.
I think it's more annoying than physically tiring, although I have found it tiring as well, after long gaming sessions. I just believe that mapping jump (which is the core gameplay element) in a platformer towards motion controls is a poor design choice.

When it comes to Super Mario Galaxy 2, I'm slightly more excited than I was with the original Galaxy, but not by much. I know exactly what I'm going to get: a polished platformer. But for me, there still isn't the hook that I need in gaming. Maybe the Mario universe just doesn't do it for me. Sure, he's one of – if not the most – iconic and endearing characters in videogames, but I dislike his design. I sincerely believe that Mario's (well-deserved) status prevents people from realizing how terrible of a character he is. And when I play a game with characters, I need good characters. Sorry Mario!
Another IGN dude:
This probably isn't going to endear me to anyone in this group, but I really just don't care about Super Mario Galaxy 2. I didn't care about the first one, either. Oh, and I didn't care about Super Smash Bros. Brawl, New Super Mario Bros. Wii or Carrot Mario Adventures Super OK Shinden (import-only ). I'm 100 percent over the Mario universe. Now before everybody goes all purply and calls for my death, let me caress that statement a bit. It's not that I don't like the Mario world or respect its immeasurable contribution to videogames. I do. Just like you guys, I sat on the floor in front of my TV for hours upon hours as a kid playing and replaying the early Super Mario Bros. games. But Nintendo has been iterating on the same idea for more than 20 years, and I'm just tired of jumping around picking up little gold things. For me to care about Mario again, I need Nintendo to take him somewhere crazy. And no, the "galaxy" is not crazy enough. I played the first Super Mario Galaxy and gave it a fair shake. It bored me.
