More fun for Vader
The eagerly awaited 'Harry Potter' theme park at Universal Studios is taking shape.
The £160 million attraction in Florida - dubbed 'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter' - features replica sets from the record-breaking movies and two white-knuckle roller coaster rides. It is due to open in spring 2010.
The theme park promises "a one-of-a-kind experience complete with multiple attractions, shops and a signature eating establishments. The completely immersive environment will transcend generations and bring the wonder and magic of the amazingly detailed Harry Potter books and films to life".
Other treats to look out for include Zonko's joke shop, a sweet shop and a state-of-the-art attraction called 'Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey', which is rumoured to feature all-new footage from stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
See the castle and park construction photos below, and the artist's impression of how the castle will look when the park opens next year.
Are you excited about the attraction? Will you be visiting when it opens? Let us know your thoughts.
“I don’t think everything needs to be 3D, or that just because we’re seeing more 2D games now, that everything’s going to shift back to 2D. Instead, I think that what’s going on is that people are realizing the benefits of a 3D game, and at the same time, remembering what the benefits of 2D games were. When going 2D, you need the courage to not be so attached to visual appearance of the games and to really pursue the gameplay experience.” - Shigeru Miyamoto
Hells yeah! Miyamoto's da man!
"Kaz Hirai reportedly says premium level is being considered for PS3 and PSP's online service"
Ouch! That would suck.
Yeah. It will. That's the flipside of PSN getting better -- now they can justify charging for it.
Looks like Vader's getting back into LBP...
WTF? Yeah, and people think waggling the Wii Remote looks stupid.
That's pretty um... cute.
The word you looking for is atrocious.
Quite an improvement to the original Mono-eye Sonic design, I must say!
OMG!!!!! That is why LBP remains the most freaking awesome game to come out this gen.
A guy that likes action games but not RPGs?
Yup he is awesome. Now get more involved damn it cause no one can make a 2D game like he can.
Holy crap, Edge gave Bayonetta a 10?
Is it that good?
I have to wait and see more reviews on it.
And Zelda got a 8? Expecting that, but DA Origin's score is...um...

Updates done, be sure to read the Silent Hill hands-on. Sounds good man.
So it seems that Silent Hill will end up being one of Wii's best games....how funny considering Konami has always avoided the series on Nintendo systems for it being "too mature" and now they put it on the ultra-casual Wii.
A 5 for Dragon Age?! Those guys are retarded.
Those guys?! Talking about yourself again, Edge?
A friendly warning: IGN Wii has the tendency to overhype unique 3rd party games, like Zack and Wiki and MadWorld. So lower your expectations, it might be really good, or not. But hey, I rather have an overhyped unique game, than giving nines to first person shooter #321.
EverQuest? That game is still alive?
I wonder if that PS2 version of EQ still lives as well?
You're right they do....but I find its usually Bozon that overhypes everything. Matt C is a bit more believable.
