A typical scene in Shadow Tower looks like a screenshot from any other game, but minus character elements. The foreground objects in the scene cast distinct shadows onto the far background. You control your shadow character on those shadows.
In addition to running and jumping between platform shadows, you'll also have to come with ways to alter the shadows in order to create paths. You can do this by making foreground objects move. Let's say you encounter a lever in the shadow dimension. Pulling on it will make the same lever in the real world move. This could make a machine move, causing the shadows to shift, and opening new paths.
You also have access to a butterfly-like character called Kuro Ageha. Unlike your character, this character can interact directly with the real world. You can take direct control of Kuro Ageha to make alterations to the world -- moving light sources around to change the shadow orientations, for instance. While the magazine isn't clear on this, Kuro Ageha looks somewhat like a pointer, so we're under the impression that you'll move her around with pointer controls.
The "Shadow Tower" of the game's name is in reference to a tower that's seen far in the distance in the game world. You're trying to get to the top of the tower for a reason that has yet to be explained.
It has an intriguing concept along with some eye popping art work that reminded us of ICO at first. Unfortunately, Shadow Tower looks like it may be a bit early right now, as Famitsu lists it as being 30% complete and without a final release date
Now that looks interesting. That reminds me I still have Echochrome unplayed.
PSN game right?
Ja. Pretty neat. So far I've had mixed experiences with PSN games, Echo and Siren are great stuff, while Noby and flOw are...wtf? I'm wary to buy flower.

Doesn't Noby let you poo on people?
It's not actual poo. Although everything you poop comes out with a mild farting noise. The only poo is the game itself.

Hmm that's a pretty nice list of On Demand games for XBL and the prices seem ok. I may grab a few of those myself. Less then a week until the dashboard update. Woo hoo!

The new Batman Arkham Asylum demo is up on PSN. LOVE the demo, this game is like a dream come true. F1 covered what you see in the demo, go to GS to read his post, its the same demo they had at E3. I've talked about combat so I wont talk about it here. The demo takes you through various corridors and rooms, its mostly linear, there is an air vent or two which you can open to discover a hidden Riddler trophy. I assume those will be the hidden collectables of the game, when I got one I unlocked the Riddler bio. Speaking of bios it seems like it will be like a Batman encylcopedia, Joker's bio even has recordings of a psych evaluation, of course its awesome cause its Luke Skywalker.
Never has a game made me feel like Batman like this one does. Never has a comic book game felt this accurate, with this level of production values. It feels like a AAA title, I play the demo and I instantly want to run to a store and buy the game. I have played the demo like 4 times already and have noticed so many cool little touches, for instance Joker will sometimes say a different line during the same situation. Depending on who you talk to you might see a cutscene or not, this happend with Zsas.
The stealth gameplay is what this demo is all about and it does not disappoint. The final room of the demo gives you a decently sized area to play around with, it has five guards to take out. The first one is always in front of you so just sneak up and do a silent takedown. Then I zip my way up to a gargoyle and survey the area with the detective cam. I see one guard entering a room with a glass ceiling, so I glide my way to that ceiling and then bash through and land on the guy to knock him up. This alerts the other guards so I quickly hide in the vents below. I pop out on the side of the room, all the guards are now in the room looking at the body and talking about how freaked out they are of the batman. I zip myself back up, land behind the three guards who are now spreading out, I silently take out the guy closest to me. The next is starting to turn around so I hide behind a corner and throw my batarang to knock him to the floor, I run to him and take him out. The last guy is wandering around, I zip above him, hang upside down over him and then do a stealth takedown like the one in Batman Begins.
I played this room so many times, i die on purpose just to try out different methods. I can take out the guards by gliding down on them with a kick and quickly getting back up to cover. I can batarang them from afar then jump down for the takedown. You cant get in a head to head fight cause guns destory you, so stealth is key. I can only imagine how fun it is as you unlock more items to use.

What is the update for?
To add a whole bunch of cool new features like the On Demand games section, Facebook, Twitter, Avatar marketplace, and I believe the section for all things Halo including the new Anime will also be included in this update. I'm really looking forward to the On Demand games and the Halo section the most.

I'm mostly looking forward to the smaller HDD installs. My 20GB HDD really needs that update a lot.
Graphics, Music, Design, 16-Bitness, Etc.
And yeah OS X is the Operating System for Macs in which this sites scrolling sucks balls for. Well at least when I use Camino.
One of the site's forefathers.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh. I see.
Yeah Hatefield said on the IGN podcast that after a while he would rather use dual analogue and got tired of Mario Galaxy without it. Sucks balls.
So there is this new Wii game called Shadow Tower, you play in the shadows so it looks like there are no characters. Look closer at the shadows.
