You mention Wii there. But Codemasters has been focusing on next-gen mainly. Is that changing?
AB: You can’t ignore Wii, but it’s bewildering watching what other publishers are doing. Codemasters has taken a more cautious strategy on Wii which has been the right thing to do. We are not going to make cheap, crappy ports. DIRT on Wii, for instance, is not Mario Kart. Overlord 2 is a gamer’s game. We’re not planning to compete in this ‘big head sports arena’ that everyone is obsessed with – the shelves are cluttered with those games. What you’ll see from us is quality games for gamers built for the Wii.
JW: That’s where we can excite retail further. There’s only a number of times I think you can go to a retailer with a DS or Wii game which is that type of mass-market product. Those games just become white noise.
KEY INFORMATION One of the biggest names in boxing returns after a 15-year hiatus. Grab a Wii Remote™ controller in one hand and a Nunchuk™ controller in the other and step back into the ring with a modern update of the classic Punch-Out!!
* Little Mac is back! Everyone’s favorite underdog from the 1980s joins the best of the original Punch-Out!! cast in a modern re-imagination of the series. Players will find familiar names like Glass Joe, King Hippo and trainer Doc Louis. These boxers come to life again in cel-shaded 3-D, complete with hilarious fighting animations and back stories that capture all the fun and flair of the original Punch-Out!! games.
* The motion-sensitive controls of the Wii console mean that when players throw punches, Little Mac throws punches as well. Additionally, you can control hooks and jabs by combining motion control with control-stick movement. The motion-sensing Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers turn real-life swings into on-screen punches, so anyone can play. The game can also be played with classic NES-style controls by turning the Wii Remote sideways.
Characters: Little Mac, Glass Joe, King Hippo, Doc Louis, Von Kaiser and other unannounced favorites.
Special powers/weapons/moves/features: Players can obtain special “Star Punches,” which allow Little Mac to take more Health from his rival in a single punch.
Control options:
* Motion Control (Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers) Punch-Out!! uses the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers to simulate throwing punches. Use the Nunchuk to throw a left punch and the Wii Remote to throw a right punch.
* Classic Control (Wii Remote NES™ style) Fans of the NES version and core gamers will be excited to see Nintendo has also included the option to play Punch-Out!! using the classic layout from the original NES controller. Use the 1 and 2 buttons along with the cross pad to throw hooks and jabs or to dodge.
"Gameplay
Possibly designed by monkeys. Everything you've ever liked about Sonic games -- speed, great level designs -- is gone. Instead, you will crawl through stages and fight enemy after enemy, with waggle."
I'm actually surprised it rated that low. I was expecting maybe a 6.0 or 6.5, but not a 3.9. Further proof that Sonic Team should not be allowed to make any more Sonic the Hedgehog games.
Fixed

Didn't DIMPS make this game and not Sonic team?
DIMPS made the daytime levels in Sonic Unleashed for Wii. Near as I can tell, they had nothing to do with Sonic and the Black Knight. According to both IGN and Wikipedia, Sonic Team alone is responsible for its development. The game was directed by Tetsu Katano who is the same guy who wants to bring back the Werehog.
Did you guys read the other two Sonic ATBK reviews? They gave it an 8 and a 7 and said it was pretty good. I thought that the same team that did Secret Rings was doing. it.
Those screens. If they were for Wii they would look allright, but if that is for anything more powerful. Wow, outclassed completely. I like the colour and general style though.

I caught that. It doesn't happen often but IGN has been known to lowball a game on occasion. For instance they scored Noby Noby Boy a 6.0 while the compiled MetaCritic score gives it a 7.4. That's a pretty big difference. It does seem much lower than the other ATBK scores right now, so maybe we should wait and see before saying it's complete and utter crap. I'm sure it still will be, but it just may be premature.

Well so far, Nintendo Power 8/10, Gadget 7-8/10, Famitsu 7/7/6/6 and IGN a 3.9?
Mirror's Edge Söderlund says "we did a lot of things that we set ourselves up to do," he concedes: "Is it perfect? No. Are there things in there that we will address for future versions? Absolutely. Was it a good first attempt? Yes! That's kind of how I summarize it."
It looks like EA are making more Mirrors Edge games guys. Mirrors Edge Extraction, a guided first person experience for Wii.
Can we never have another Munchables update on the site again? I just watched the trailer and puked a little bit in my mouth. However, at least now I have figured out why the hell it was made, once I realized it was being done by Namco/Bandai.
They figured that they're never going to make a good Pac-Man game again, so maybe they'd try to use the basic premise of the series and put cuter and pinker characters in the game and see if they can trick some dumb 7 year olds into thinking it's good.

LOL you threw up? How did you react to Dewy?
Dewy made me break out in pubic hives.
I didn't really mind Dewey that much. I don't mind cutesy games as long as they look good. This game just screams unpolished and rough. I don't know if these are early versions, but I maintain that this just looks sloppy and unfinished. Maybe it'd be good on the PS2. Not the Wii.
Oh sweet fucking hoorah! Finally my 360 has been fixed and is on it's way back. I haven't been able to play a disc-based 360 game since Dec. 26th 2008, just when I was getting into Call of Duty WaW and Red Alert 3. I have sooooooo much I want to play on it that it's insane. Street Fighter IV will be the first of my games I'll pop in plus I have Star Ocean 4, and Ace Combat 6. I'll be picking up Halo Wars and Resident Evil 5 next week. I also have the urge to get back into Gears 2 and CoD WaW online. I'll probably get my system back tomorrow or Friday. This weekend is going to be gaming madness for me.
Wow IGN gave We Ski and Snowboard a 5.4? Ouch. Again that's a lot lower than the MetaCritic score (approx. 7.1 right now). IGN does not seem to be giving the Wii much love right now.

To be honest that Famitsu score is far more scary than the IGN one. Famitsu loves Sonic. I have to read more on it to get a better handle on how this game is. I may rent it or not depending on impressions.
Turns out RE5 got leaked. And I've already had most of the story spoiled for me. As well as seen what looks like late game footage.
FUCKING 4CHAN.
Dude stay away from sites like that, the site I mod is safe, biohaze. If anyone even dares mention a spoiler outside of the spoiler thread I ban their ass to hell.
I was so afriad that they would screw up the game by making it motion control only. Punch-Out is one of the most reflex heavy games ever made, there is no way the motion control offer the type of split second moves you have to perform in a Punch-Out game. So glad they included a classic control mode.

It sounds like a dream come true.
You do know that accelerometers are used in cars to activate airbags, do you? Something that requires fast response times, faster than a human can manage!

Time to do some updates
Stand back, while I do them
Nice Metal Slug 7 review. I'll definately get it when it gets released on XBLA.

That thing should be in the next Silent Hill game.
