But yeah it makes sense that RE5 isn't on the Wii. The Wii version would just be gimped down it would be best if Capcom would have just created a ground up version of the series for the Wii instead.

Dante's-Inferno-IGN-preview
From there, a gameplay demo was presented of an early level of the game, one which I and the other press were able to get hands-on time with. Dante dropped into a cavern whose walls were made from compressed skeletons. In the distance, an endless number of souls damned to hell tumbled from a hole into a lake of fire. Dante was able to use the skeletal walls to reach raised platforms, and eventually propel himself across a chasm so he could continue further into Hell. However, as he landed safely on the other side, a large army of skeletons arose from the ground and leapt towards him. Dante was forced to attack, because his exits were immediately blocked with walls of energy that resembled souls being tortured and writhing in pain. Fortunately, the army of skeletons was no match for Dante's scythe, which easily cut them to ribbons.
Attacking with the scythe felt much like that of the Blades of Chaos from God of War.
While it was still early, it was striking to note how responsive the controls and gameplay were. In fact, Knight stressed that Dante's Inferno is still more than a year away from being completed, but the demo that we played ran at a full sixty frames per second and wasn't in danger of dropping a single frame at any point in the game, regardless of the action onscreen or the large beasts in the background.
It may be more than a year away, but Dante's Inferno could be a surprise franchise for EA. The action and combat system seems strong, and thanks to Barlow's unique take on some of the demons in Hell, players could have an intriguing way of exploring a classical piece of literature when it comes out sometime in 2010.
Singularity and Dante's Inferno look and sound like they should be really awesome. I'm definately keeping my eye on these two games and right now they are firmly planted on my "to buy" list.
Yeah I thought about deleting it, but they linked to different sites. So I did not delete the second one!
The irony. Windows etc. break in HOTD so it's as destructible as UC. But unlike UC there's not alot of time spent walking around aimlessly in corridors so there's no need to foce you to randomly shoot windows etc. to keep you engaged.

KILLZONE 2 REVIEW
http://www.teletext.co.uk/GameCentral/Features-Reviews/default.aspx
Killzone 2 (PS3)Killzone 2
Review by David Jenkins – We were there the day that infamous trailer was first shown at E3 2005, when Sony's marketing muscle looked like it would dreamcast the 360 with contemptuous ease.
A lot has obviously changed since then.
The most surprising is that although in the end this does look almost as good as that original fake footage, it's nowhere near enough to elevate the game to the classic status it so craves.
The sad fact is that if you've played any first person shooter in the last ten years then you've played this.
To be specific its relatively slow movement, realistic damaging modelling (i.e. one or two shots and you're dead) and an emphasis on cover is most reminiscent of Black or F.E.A.R.
Despite the sci-fi style story the weapons and situations are purposefully reminiscent of World War II.
The game tells a surprisingly small scale story, that assumes an optimistically detailed knowledge of the previous PS2 and PSP games.
It's as devoid of personality as the bald space marine you play – an avatar so characterless we kept forgetting which one we were in the cut scenes.
But the story mode's real problem is that the missions have not so much been designed as traced from other games.
A mission where you have to blow up an artillery piece? Check. A showdown against a squad of snipers? Check. A siege with you in a turret? Check. An annoyingly short bit in a tank? Check.
Ally artificial intelligence is dire, constantly getting in your way, dying and then demanding you rejuvenate them with what looks like a cattle prod – despite never doing the same for you.
The whole game is a cliche magnet.
What's particularly bizarre about the poor ally AI is that the enemy's is very good and almost at the same technical level as the graphics.
But as impressive as the visuals undoubtedly are, with a laudable attention to detail, it's all of things we've seen a hundred times before.
To waste such incredible technology on better looking grey corridors is proof of a criminal lack of imagination.
As is so often the case with a first person shooter the multiplayer is a saving grace and the only thing that saves this from an even lower score.
It doesn't do anything new but the rock solid controls and basic gunplay are a great foundation. It does have you wishing for a co-op mode though.
Admittedly expectations since 2005 have been impossibly high, but this never really comes close to meeting them.
IN SHORT: One of the best looking games ever, but also one of the least ambitious in terms of anything else.
PROS: On a technical level the graphics are some of the best ever seen. Solid controls make for a fun multiplayer.
CONS: Not a single new idea but instead an infinity of cliches. Weak plot, no co-op mode and annoying ally AI.
SCORE: 7/10 Out: Now (UK)

You guys probably dont know Gamecentral, apart from Mantorok. It's a famous long running teletext games site that dates back pre-interwebs days. Some of its staff contribute to EDGE mag.
It's a shame X-Blades didn't turn out well. I liked that thong.
Capcom PR boasted 100. Another reason why their PR pisses me off.
And what a fucking surprise that it also got the same score as the EDGE review. Was it the same reviewer?
I dont know. Didn't EDGE give it an 8? I know the text of the EDGE review was much better, although expressed similar concerns.
I'm just updating now:

Capcom's Monstrous Wii Prospects
http://www.edge-online.com/news/capcoms-monstrous-wii-prospects
Capcom has high hopes that the upcoming Wii-exclusive Monster Hunter 3 finds the same monstrous success in the West as it has in Japan.
During the Osaka, Japan-based publisher's earnings call for the December quarter, Capcom stated "...We plan to release our leading titles overseas to acquire game users, as the overseas market for Wii is extensive.
"One of our leading titles is Monster Hunter 3. ... If we can gain recognition of this product in the European and North American markets, our market strategy will see a noticeable change."
The Monster Hunter action role-playing franchise is a big hit, primarily in Japan, selling over 6.3 million units as of December 2008, with Monster Hunter 3 for Wii slated for release later this year. Previously, the series had only appeared on PS2 and PSP.
Capcom Entertainment communications director Chris Kramer elaborated on Capcom execs' comments in an e-mail to Edge: "Monster Hunter is huge in Japan, but not as big in the U.S. and Europe. There is a desire on the part of the company to export this huge hit to the rest of the world at the same level it is received in Japan.
"If we can sell a few more million units, the company’s market share will definitely change."
Originally, Capcom planned to develop Monster Hunter 3 for PS3. However, in light of the Wii's popularity and exploding installed base, Capcom announced in 2007 that it would be moving development of the title away from Sony's platform in favor of Nintendo's.

"If we can gain recognition of this product in the European and North American markets, our market strategy will see a noticeable change."
So.............. it's another fucking test? Capcoooooooooooooooooooooooooom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay completed the normal mode last night and I can understand the "frankly amazing quality" comments and the 8/10 review scores. Personally this game hits the right notes with me so I would give it a 9/10.
Impressions-here
Assasins Creed 2 story from Joystiq
A trip to the high street may have resulted in an unexpected focus test for one of our tipsters, who says that he was shown very early footage of the next Assassin's Creed. It apparently looked similar to the first game, though set around the 15th century -- a few hundred years later. After the footage played, there was a Q&A session where it was revealed the story would incorporate a family feud and disguises would play a part in the game.
The focus testers were asked to decide on their favorite of three character designs. Each image had different colored costumes and varying numbers of pouches or bags for the main character, though the overall design was the same: Similar to Altair's, but more colorful and fitting for the time period. Under each image was the word "ezio," an Italian name derived from the word for "eagle." Fitting, for the series.
Our tipster also told us that he saw the protagonist swimming during the video -- something we've heard that Altair might've learnt since the first game -- and that he can "use gunpowder to propel items at people." The people conducting the focus test indicated that we might be seeing more of the game at E3 and that it will be in our hands late this year or early next. Of course, we've no way of confirming whether any of this is true, but it all sounds fairly plausable.
I wrote up that story for Aussie Nintendo. I don't know why I didn't post it here.
Despite MH3 looking pretty swish I just dont think it will take off in the west. It's too late, online focused, very japanese and a portable franchise. Portable success doesn't translate to console success.
Interesting, from the Madworld studio video:
"When I was making the enemies, one of the things that I was thinking about was that basically, this isn't actually a battle game. Instead of thinking how I am going to defeat this guy, you think about what you are going to do to kill him. That's the core of the experience"
Cool. Out in two weeks america! Buy or face my GG Penis jerking grapes of wrath!
