One of the site's forefathers.
Play fighting games!
This is the old Indy game on PS2, the emporers tomb
This is the nintendo 64 game
I mean, the PS2 and the Wii one.
I pray that all versions get Fate of Atlantis, because hey, it's not that fucking hard to do on the DS.
Hell, if I can do it unofficially, and it works fine...then surely they can do it.
Just as long as Secret Level aren't doing it, then you should be fine.
Emperor's Tomb was ass. My sister had that game on Xbox, and it was unplayable due to all of the bugs in the game. She got so mad at one game-ending bug that she literally threw the disk in the trash.
RE: Iron Man 2
"Sega and Marvel are collaborating closely to ensure we deliver an authentic Iron Man experience..."
SEGA: (backing up money truck) Is this authentic enough?
Marvel: Little more...
I like that list of PC games from 1up...some great stuff coming. Especially Dragon Age, that game is going to rule.
As game site Siliconera explains, in the game's fifth level, Pole is able to grab a mushroom and eat a mushroom that causes only a very selective part of him to grow.
The writing in the above screen ("mokkori") translates to the equivalent of "schwing." See, they don't call it Pole's Big Adventure for nothing.Edit: Soooo NOT coming to the US unedited! (Dammit)
RE5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok I am in love with it now, read about it in the forums.
Those Indiana Jones pics are nasty, it better not be the Wii version. So it comes with a whole other game to unlock, thats pretty cool.
Damn Yakuza 3 looks so good. Infamous is looking good in those shots as well. RE5 Home looks alright, fits since Home is like the land of the living dead. I just want the Wesker figurine. The good thing is that both SF4 and RE5 will matchmaking in Home and load directly into the game.
Wow.
I think Sony need to do away with Home. Its retarded.
I can't take your RE5 impressions seriously D, LOL......when it comes to RE, MGS, and Sonic there's just way too much fanboyism to consider there.
Fanboyism has nothing to do with it, taste does. I dont play games and give them a free pass, I play what I like, those are some of my favorite franchises cause I love how they play. When they dont play how I like I call them out just like any other game.
RE5 is just like RE4, one of the best games ever made. The AI is not an issue like I thought it would be. It does seem a bit more chaotic, maybe not as precise with the design. Co-op is FANTASTIC.
RE5 will easily be one of the best games of the year.
Are you kidding? The PS2 one looks better.
You guys make me laugh, hard. I was suprised how well this game did in the yearly sales. 1.8 million? I suppose they did have versions on every platform ever.
LOL. I find it lazy though these NES looking downloadable games. You never see them doing SNES games for nostalgia because it would be too much work and people lack the skillset they used to. Or those guys are working on DS games.
Nice. I was patiently waiting for Iga to be back in full force. I've been doing all the updates for over a week. I always know when you update too as I have something to read when I wake up.
Have you tried the demo yet Edge?
Sega FINALLY Brings Boners to WiiWare
WTF
Crytek Purchases Free Radical
Never saw that one coming.
Oh for fucks sake. What is the point of releasing a belated version of Dead Space 10 months after the next gen versions? Companies are stupid. It better be a unique version. If its the same game with Wii IR and worse visuals it's just not worth releasing.
EDIT: I suppose the one thing that Wii could improve is the physics and stasis gun. If they change the game to use physics manipulation more it might be allright. This is encouraging:
http://wii.ign.com/articles/950/950714p1.html
"A good example of this is Dead Space. We are bringing a Wii title to market this year, and it is absolutely going to be the quality and fear factor that you've got on the PS3/Xbox 360 and PC SKU this past year."
All of these quotes come from EA CEO John Riccitiello during EA’s conference call…
“Gross profit in all three labels”–EA Sims/Play, EA Sports and EA Games–”looks strong in the coming year.” EA CEO
“Wii is the market leader–they’re getting half of our emphasis in terms of title count.”
We’re launching Tennis initially Wii-only.”
“(we) will rival Nintendo in terms of quality (with MotionPlus tech helping).”
“We’re bringing core intellectual property to the Wii.”
“You live, you learn you adjust and improve. This year’s title slate (of Wii games) is a significant improvement from last year.”
EA Wii market share - five percent revenue growth, no market share growth (paraphrased)

So Tenchu Shadow Assasins turned out like I thought. Three reviews, two 8/10s. One 9/10. Might try. Maybe.
Gamesrdar 8/10
"There’s no Wii game quite as masculine as Tenchu: Shadow Assassins. Every character model is a statuesque brute, albeit carved from prime beef as opposed to stone. Every chest is coated with enough hair to craft 100 Brillo Pads. Even lady ninja Ayame comes stocked with horse thighs capable of snapping a neck. Tenchu is meaty. And Tenchu is governed by an equally meaty rulebook, free of confusing degrees of right and wrong. Enter the shadows and you are hidden. Get spotted and you will return to the beginning. The logic extends to your tools: shuriken will always snag a guard from his watchtower and the bamboo shoot will always extinguish flaming torches."
IGN 8/10
"The 10-plus- hour game is full of thrills and strategy, not to mention satisfying assassination sequences, and you can keep playing long after you've completed the main mission, either attempting to better your level scores or exploring the dozens of quick, relatively easy side missions designed to extend replay value. If you're a Wii owner in search of something beyond the next mini-game fest, Shadow Assassins is a surprisingly good choice. "
Gameplayer.com 9/10
"Tenchu 4 lives on meticulously crafted set-pieces where you have to play your role to perfection, because one false move results in instant death. It’s mostly about not being seen or heard, and about killing enemies with the minimum of fuss. Yet it’s a tremendously satisfying game, mainly because it sets such intricate, difficult tasks without ever unfairly hindering you with dodgy controls or botched AI. In short, Tenchu 4 is a smooth operator and every bit as tricky as the ninjas who front the game.
Perhaps best of all, though, the developer has managed to create a graphically rich and detailed version of 13th Century Japan that’s positively dripping with atmosphere (Tenchu 4 is best played in the dark, so make sure you’ve got the lights switched off or down low before you begin). At some point, we’ve probably all imagined how cool it would be to live the life of an elite ninja, and Tenchu 4 takes us right into that role. "
Mass Effect 2 not until 2010? There goes any hope of having 3 games this gen.
Crytek buy Free Radical? WTF? Good, give them your graphics tech so their games stop looking goofy and/or unpolished. Really that is odd though....wow.
Dvader on not letting his inner fanboy influence his impressions---
Tenchu, the first good Tenchu in years and the first good Wii game that I will probably buy in ages. WOW......about time somebody comes through. Damn, think about it....Tenchu 4 is really the first true 'hardcore' Wii game of high quality in some time. I mean, what was the last non-PS2 hardcore Wii game that was good? Fucking finally.....this deseves celebration:
No....I don't think its on the american PS3 yet and I can't be bothered to get a Japanese account.
Yeah the Crytek purchase just weirded me out. I thought a big US publisher would get them or a European one like Eidos or Ubisoft or whatever. But a PC dev with two big games? I'm weirded out. What would they have them work on?
As for Tenchu, yeah I mean there are good 3rd party games on Wii but not many......... any? Good traditional type 3rd party games. COD World at War is good but that's a multiformat game that people would rather play with better visuals and a better online mode.
Hope this is the start of something good with Conduit -picking up some good impressions lately- Madworld, HOTD, Little Kings Story etc coming quite soon. Then after that batch launches, hopefully FFCC and Monster Hunter 3 by the end of the year though I doubt that, maybe new year 2010? Ugh.
If Nintendo ever get around to launching Fatal Frame IV in the west and Disaster in America, it will be a decent line-up this year. Can't forget Sin and Punishment and Another Code R. And there will probably be a suprise announcement at GDC with Iwata there, maybe some suprises at E3. An original Dead Space Wii game announced too. Things are looking up. Not brilliant, but better most definetely.
There's something seriously wrong with you guys...
Oh snap....the RE5 demo IS up on PSN! I haven't turned my PS3 on since I got my PC, lol. Downloading now. Hopefully it will be done in the next 5 hours.
This game is going to be the Nemesis of the RE4 style, I can tell already. Nemesis was a blatant copy of RE2, just totally action-focused. Now RE5 is a blatant copy of RE4 with more of an action focus.
