D'oh it only sold 7 million!
Bah! I would've sold double that if they had included a playable Yoshi.
Yeah, so that explains why Sunshine has sold over 14 million, right?
Unfortunately, people's distaste of the waterpak negatively offset the positive sales of which Yoshi contributed. Without Yoshi, it probably wouldn't have sold as well as it did.
And lets not forget, no Luigi either
Awesome scores for Left 4 Dead and Gears of War 2. I tried the Left 4 Dead demo and I loved it. I was only considering this as a possible rental but now it's definately on my "to buy" list. Nice score for Tomb Raider Underworld. Again I really enjoyed the demo and would like to pick up this game. Not bad scores for Banjo Nuts & Bolts and Red Alert 3, two games I definately plan on picking up real soon.
Archie I can't follow your logic, de Blob does not look compelling yet you want to buy Banjo. Why is that, the vehicle creation? Or because you played the demo?
P.S. are you still planning to buy Animal Crossing?
Its fucking awesome on the 360, with widescreen and the new controls. 10 years later its every bit the classic it was in 98. Graphically, and I'm not joking, it looks better than a lot of Wii games. And they didn't even do much to it besides upping the resolution. Honestly I wish I could get my whole N64 collection on 360 after playing this. And the best part? It was FREE.
Clanker's Cavern and Click Clock Wood are two of the best levels ever made.
False, this is the best level ever made
GG you just can't ignore Carnage, can you? The rest of the thread was fine. I just checked that out.
Carnage has always acted like nothing sells well on Nintendo systems. I clearly remember him, in the same post, saying that Metroid Prime 2 tanked, and that Ninja Gaiden was a huge success on the Xbox. When they both sold basically the same amount of copies. In his mind, everything fails on Nintendo hardware, except minigames.
I'm just not interested in de Blob, nothing about it really compels me to want to play it. Just because they're both platformers there's many differences about them where if you like one you'll not necessarily like the other. Banjo just looks way more interesting to me. The characters, the game world, etc. Nuts & Bolts is incredibly impressive graphically and it just looks like there's much more to do in the game or at least much more to do that I find interesting to do and yeah the vehicle building is a pretty compelling aspect. I'm sure the demo helped but honestly I was already interested in the game anyway. If Nintendo made Wii game demos available I'd probably at least try it out but I kind of doubt that it would change my opinion.
As for Animal Crossing I would like to check it out to see what it's all about but right now I'm unsure of exactly when I'll get it. I simply have so many games I really want to pick up right now.
Agreed. I played this game for the first time a few months ago and it BLEW me away. Far better then 95% of games released today (as well as like 99% of games ever made). And I do prefer the games graphics to the majority of "current gen" games.

Fedor Emelianenko loses decision in semifinals
A day after Brock Lesnar made his case for being the number two heavyweight in the world, Fedor Emelianenko, the number one heavyweight, suffered a rare loss in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Fedor lost in the semifinals of the over 100kg division at the 2008 World Combat Sambo Championships. Fedor lost on points 5 to 8 to Bulgarian wrestler Blagoi Ivanov, who advanced to win the gold medal.
Fedor, a World Combat Sambo champion the past three years, went home with the bronze medal.
In professional mixed martial arts, Fedor is 29-1-1. His sole loss was due to a cut 17 seconds into the fight. Fedor would avenge the loss five years later.
Combat Sambo is a popular Russian sport which combines throws with limited striking and submissions.
Fedor won his previous encounter with Ivanov earlier this year. Below is the video of their match on February 15.

The world has gone mad I say, MADDDDDDDDDDD!
Fedor was out of shape because he was busy filming in Thailand.
Fedors reaction after seeing his medal and realizing it is not gold...
There are rumours that Fedor once lost in a game of cards. People, this must be how the Earth ends. We are all doomed, doomed I tell you!
This video makes Street Fighter II Turbo HD look pretty cool, but it might just be the music...

Don't forget that all games over 4 years old are just nostalgia. Banjo & Kazooie isn't really good you're just imagining it.

What happend to Fedor, nooo! I saw the Lesnar fight and afterwards felt like Fedor would destroy him. Now this happens and my whole world makes no sense.
No, no you really don't

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileWhat happened is the guy threw fedor on the ground and earned four points, and then kept him there, another four points. Fedor was trailing 8-1, with 1 minute left. Fedor than threw a flurry of punches knocking him down, earning 4 points himself, but in Combat Sambo you get 10 counts to recover. He basically run out of time and lost on points 8-5.
This is not the first time Fedor lost a Sambo match, but he has not lost one for over 4 years. He was not in shape because he was filming in Thailand, so this loss will probably make him sharper the next time. Remember Combat Sambo is not MMA.
About Lesnar, Fedor would destroy him. Fedor is incredibly fast and powerfull and has a very good submission game. He would submit him like Mir submitted him. Lesnar is a bad match up for Randy, plus Randy is overrated. He is supposed to be the number 2 heavyweight in the world, but he only defeated an injured Tim Sylvia and Gonzaga.
