So this will be our last week on this site, what have you guys been playing?
I played Metroid Zero Missions and Mario Galaxy this week!
I've been getting back in touch with my inner Wario...and playing a shitload of Wario games. Mainly Wario Land 4 and WarioWare Micro Minigames/Touched.
All great stuff.
Also GTA. Shame about the trophy patch.
I've been playing Dead Space. I'm currently on Chapter 11 on Impossible mode and it's been very intense stuff. I just have to finish this, play through the game with just the Plasma Cutter, and do the asteriod bit with 50% or more shields left to get all the achievements for the game.
Its all LBP for now. The single player lives up to the hype, it is the best 2D platformer I have played since the Mario SNES games. The levels run wild with imagination, it has that Nintendo magic, I swear I would have thought Nintendo made this game if I didn't know any info on the game. There are even some cool boss fights. What makes even better is that you can see how these devs made this game, since you have the same tools they do when you see a level you don't just admire it for what it looks like, you admire it on an engineering level as well, that is something no other game really has. Everytime you see a new contraption your mind races with ideas "how can I do that?" or "can I make a level based on this idea", it adds another dimension to the playing. But if playing is all you want to do its still so good. The only issue is there aren't many levels, only 21 main levels, a ton of score attack levels as well.
It feels like half a game right now though, man this game needs online. I miss being connected to the huge community, I miss playing with friends, I miss having hundreds of levels to choose from. Hurry up and get those damn servers up.
*sniff*
I've gone retro this weekend, and played a ton of Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and Q*Bert.
I am almost finished getting all trophies for the platinum one. I should finish it by tomorrow. Playing back on normal with just the PC is so easy.
I just realized I may have back to back platfomers as GOTY. If this is not a sign that this gen kicks ass I dont know what is.
Yeah and they are both pushing the genre forward. If the sequel of Galaxy has a map like system like seen in Mario World and the same power-up structure as in the 2d games, then it would be perfect.
This.
My 22nd birthday was on Saturday, so I went home to be with my family. My dad couldn't find it locally, but I'll be getting Bleach: Dark Souls (DS) in a couple days as my gift. Anticipating getting it, I took Bleach: The Blade of Fate (DS), the first DS Bleach fighting game, home, and played plenty of that. I'm currently using the story mode to get enough money to buy the rest of the Level 4 cards. I hope there aren't Level 5 cards, as well.... Oh, and I suck at the challenge mode. After otherwise completing my card collection (which I never use, but that's beside the point), I think the challenge mode will be the last thing left to do.
I'm still thinking about getting a 360, but it would require the sacrifice of my Wii. Do any of you guys know any statistics about the reliability of the Jasper 360s? Do you know anything about the version coming after it, or anything more about the rumored slim 360s? If I'm to get one, I want the failure rate to be at an acceptably low level.
FUCKING ROCKSTAR.
I can deal with the bullshit that is their missions in GTA IV, but the fact that I have to start AN ENTIRELY NEW SAVE just to get trophies? Fucking stupid.
You can find out what I've played on the first Press Room podcast!

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileJust got a Resistance 2 key. Brb...
LOL
so if you finish the game on a current save after the patch is out you don't get any trophies?
Holy shit, I was wondering if anyone else was aware of the awesomeness that was Captain Scarlet!
QFT
That's exactly it. It sucks.
Holy shit.
I played a bit of Vesperia, but got into a boss fight that kicked my ass. A huge dog with two tiny dogs got tired of biting my buttocks.
So I swapped things a bit and DLed MegaMan 9...only to get my ass handed down to me by the first two...(stages? enemies? NO!) SCREENS of the first stage. Then I got depressed and played de Blob. That helped and made me happy. Happy.
I still need more recommendations on what to get on the VC for 900 Wii Points. I was thinking either Secret of Mana or Super Metroid, but input would be nice.

OK, I just tried to download it, and it's running at 0.4KB/s. I'm uploading to thevgpress.com server for now; I'll have a newer, better link in about 10 minutes.
