Anyway I think you people don't understand where Edge is coming from he WANTS those big games geared toward serious gamers. So far the Wii only has 2 announced Capcom vs Tatsunoko and Monster Hunter 3. Other then that it is just a bunch of niche titles or titles from small and medium developers.

For me, even the games which didn't turn out to be ass, turned out to be GOOD, but not GREAT. As they were hyped - Bioshock for example or GTA IV or Halo 3.  

Assasins Creed is another failed example, hyped to hell, this is the reason why next gen rulez - 6/10s at most review sites. So many games are lined up like bowling pins and only a couple are left standing at the end of it all. But you hopefully remember that whenever you watch the development of a title in the future.

EDIT: Shit, Too Human too. The games keep dropping like flies. In another one of these lists people rattle off, Too Human was in there too for a long time. The first part in an epic trilogy.

Well I agree that games get way overhyped these days, but I think that's just the nature of how big gaming is now. All those games you just mentioned are still on par with the best games on Wii IMHO, other than Too Human (which is still worth checking out for the cool story bits and atmosphere). Yet those are only a few of the great games on other consoles. GG I think your changing taste in games may be more to blame than anything else. You said yourself that you mostly want just easy going games like Endless Ocean these days.

As for Fable (someone mentioned it), hell I loved Fable. It just gets ragged on by annoying people because it didn't do everything they said it would. Big deal, the end product was still an enjoyable adventure. As a matter of fact, I liked Fable more than Zelda Wind Waker and Star Fox Adventures. So if those were solid, I guess Fable was too. If Fable 2 is even grander than the first as many are saying then its gonna be a great title.

EDIT: And now Miyamoto is acting like Wii Music is as exciting as Super Mario.....my word. Either this dude is getting old, or is completely off his rocker. Or he is the official spokesman for Nintendo's Oprah line. Or all 3.

JK: Fundamentally speaking, even people with no skills can grind their character to the point that they can beat the game. That part as an RPG still hasn't changed. But I suppose it is much more action-oriented than Odin Sphere at the same time. This time around, we increased the agility and mobility of the characters and put a lot of energy into creating the field maps for the player to jump around in. On the other hand, we condensed the dramatic portions of it. This way, we can avoid how we reused bosses in Odin Sphere, like how people pointed out.

I agree with you on Fable; it was a great game. Some people have expressed dissappointment with Fable because it didn't do some of the things Molyneux said it would, but I never followed Fable at all. I never bothered to read any of the pre-release hype or interviews; shoot, I didn't even know who Molyneux was back then. I watched a couple videos on Gamespot about two weeks before the game came out, and bought it because it looked an action-adventure game like Zelda. I ended up loving Fable, and I liked it better than any Zelda game to date.

Sometimes I wonder if I'd enjoy gaming more if I didn't read so much news, interviews, previews, ect. everyday. Perhaps some ignorance can be a good thing.

IGN gave Brothers in Arms Double Time a 3.0 "Bad" review score. I watched a couple of their videos, and it looks far worse than Red Steel. Where's the "Nintendo-like quality," Ubisoft?

This is sad on so many levels man. I guess we know why Gearbox decided to act as if this game didn't exist after awhile.

1. The worst shooter on Wii, 2 years into its life...after some absolutely sad attempts were already made.
2. Yet another game based on quality that should be amazing on Wii.
3. If Wii is more powerful, or at least equal, to Xbox 180, then why would you port the inferior PS2 versions to Wii?

I don't know who's more responsible for this crap, Gearbox or Ubisoft, but whoever it is should be ashamed of themselves. Why even bother to do ports of what should be great games if you're not going to make an effort at fucking all? All that's doing is ruining the brand name of the series, and the company that makes it.

Wow, I never heard of that game. I found 1 gameplay video on Youtube, though. Yeah, I'd say it's the worst Wii FPS for sure.

My friend has it, and it's brutal.  I immediately started laughing when I saw it.  It's nothing but hallways and infinitely spawning enemies, and you can see the bullets coming at you and just step out of the way.

I did follow the build up, but I wasn't stupid enough to believe that we were going to see anything like they were promising on the xbox. I'd played other xbox games, fuck I'd played Black and White, and Molyneux was never exactly one to keep his words. Yet morons mopped it up. The problem is when you believe hype, not when you get caught up in it!

That's why people aren't satisfied. You don't see people complaining that there's nothing to play on PS360 because of this.

I mean shit...I just got done looking at the COMING SOON list for the next 3 months for each system on Gamefly, so I could fill in my rentals. The fucking Wii list is a catastrophe.....full of either watered down ports that you'd rather get on PS360, or complete kids garbage that I wouldn't even play if I WAS a kid. Gee...I don't understand why gamers are upset Reggie...there's just no pleasing them!

I look at the other systems, and there's a ton of games I want to play. Though you do realise how much of a ME TOO console the PS3 is. My god its full of games that just scream XBOX. But, at least it actually has good shit on the way, at the same time. 360 really continues to be the best deal for gamers though. You have to wonder when Sony will truly step it up to the levels they were at before this gen.

Sorry, but crap like that pisses me off.

I'm a gamer, I look at the 360's line up, and the xbox's line up honestly does nothing for me. There's literally one or two games I'm interested in, and those games are on the fucking PC.
