Definitely stay home. It's not worth the risk.

I thought I was going mad, but I see you're all considerate people who don't want to inflict further harm on your parents.

Why my brother and nephews would just come over and infect people consistently for 16 years, while sneezing and coughing in their faces in a small room, is beyond me.

I wouldn't go see them either if I were actively sick unless there was no other option like taking them to a doctor or something.

My dad is like that when he gets sick. He doesn't care at all about getting others sick.

I also won’t visit people when they’re sick either. Casual visit that is. If it’s a necessity to see them then that’s fine. I don’t want to get sick myself if I can help it.

After having it on my shelf for about two years, I've finally started playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

I've mostly been playing DK Banaza this weekend. I messed around with Banjo Kazooie on NSO for a bit too. I also upgraded my copy of Kirby and the Forgotten Land to the Switch 2 edition for $20.

So I downloaded the 55gb Hitman WOA patch.

Once it installed it ending up adding around 5gb to the file sizes. It then deleted the rest of the download patch.

Only now I have to redownload all the games I deleted just to patch Hitman.

What is happening here? This can't be the new normal.

GG, have you played Red Dead Redemption? Might be on sale. I hardly notice framerates but this had a noticeable upgrade.

I have the 360 version. Will wait for a savage sale on the Switch 2 version.

My dad is also like that.

I pick up any and every cold I'm exposed to, get chest infections and it takes 10 days to recover.

I've kept in the habit of wearing a mask indoors when I'm out doing things because why not? Between that and working from home I've broken the cycle of being sick every year in February. Especially important this time of year with everyone trading sickness.

The last few months I've been focused on GeoGuessr. It perfectly fits into my niche of absorbing information without the downside of having to be skilled at something. It doesn't feel like I'm that far along in improving, but I'm up to around 630th in the US so not nothing! I'll see where I peak, which is always lower than I think I should be able to.

There are people on Reddit who are insanely good at that.

I think I actually tend to feel a little better in an office, but there are a bunch of reasons why this remote setup works better for me overall. If nothing else avoiding the 70-90 minutes of driving each day. That and they got rid of most of my coworkers anyway.

Those are my two reasons. The older I get, the less patience I have for people.

I prefer solitude, but I also prefer to work at the office. Having my dog stare at me working all day would be brutal, "Woof! Why no walk?! Why? Why? Why? PLAYYY WITH ME!!!! Bark!!!"

My commute is only about 20 minutes.

a I've been working remotely ever since covid hit. And that's actually the second time I've I've worked long-term from my home. First time was from 2008 to 2011. It's definitely easier to do it these days. I can't say I strongly prefer one over the other. They both have their advantages. The biggest remote advantage was the elimination of a commute. And of course, the office that I worked out of right before we were all sent to work from home was only 8 minutes from my home. So right when I finally get that reasonable commute, it's no longer needed.

Almost finished with RDR. Rockstar is comprised of wizards. How did they get this game to looks so good, even fifteen years later?
