What did you guys use to carry your Switch about if at all?
I used something like this to carry it up and down the stairs and sometimes chucked it into a larger bag to take out the house. I can count on one hand the number of times I actually played it outside and I'm looking to change that with Switch 2.
So I've gone for a hard shell sling bag to use as a case instead. Something like above^
I didn't want something that looked like a game console case. The one I ordered has a built in padlock code unlock mechanism.
And it has a USB interior to exterior connection so you can have a battery in the bag and simply connect a USB cable to the side of the bag to charge your device.
The sling strap alone is going to make life easier. I'm always walking up at night holding various things and wondering if I'm going to drop something.
I never got any kind of carrying case for my Switch since I never took it anywhere. 99% of the time it sat in the dock as I played it on my TV. The few times I took it out was just to play it on my couch.
One thing I found with the OLED, because it's a better quality device with a better screen, speakers, build quality etc, I played it far more in portable.
I have used the day one BOTW Switch carrying case all this time and I hope it fits Switch 2. I am getting the minimum things for switch 2, I will use all the same controllers from switch 1.
Wtf, Switch 2 battery supports fast charging at 36w.
This is huge, why didn't they mention this? My phone is the same rating and it halves the charging time. It's not that it takes less time to charge, it's that a quick 15 to 20 min charge can significantly top you up to last the rest of the day.
I bought final fantasy 1 pixel remaster this morning. When I downloaded it, my switch said "you've downloaded a virtual game card!" So every digital game on the eShop is going to be a virtual game card? Interesting.

Yes it's converted all 374 games I have to game cards I can lend to other people.
I was reading that article about Switch 2s fast charging, then read this:
"Charging time is another curious point. With 36W input, you’d expect quick top-ups, but the company still says it takes about 3.5 hours for a full charge. That’s slower than some phones charge in 2025. Maybe they’re playing it safe. Maybe it’s a thermal design issue. Or maybe we’re just spoiled by phones. It’s hard to say."
What's going on here? My phone has the same 36w fast charging capability but charges in an hour.
Oh shit, I think, my phone didn't come with a charger, I had to buy a fast charger? Is Switch 2s battery fast charging but the power brick isn't a fast charging power brick?
I'll be okay as I have the right usb c fast charger already.
So I saw a report saying Doom the Dark Ages had sold less than a million because 3 million are playing it on gamepass.
Good thing or bad?
Games on Game Pass are naturally going to sell less on platforms that have the service available on them but that doesn’t explain sales on the platforms that don’t like the PS5. Even games that have been on the service for much longer and are just now being ported over to the PS5 have sold much better then Doom: The Dark Ages. Perhaps it got lost in some other games recently released and/or people just aren’t interested in paying the $70 USD for it right now.
I think a lot of things had an effect on The Dark Ages. Expedition 33 was a surprise hit that probably chipped away at it a little bit. People squirreling away money for the Switch 2 couldn't have helped either. And obviously game pass is going to take a chunk out of it too.
But overall, I think people are just being more careful with their money. Why pay $70 for a game that's going to get a discount within 3 months? They're never going to go full Atlus (Persona 3 Reloaded is just over a year old and you can regularly get it new for $25), but games dropping price quicker than ever. I think a lot of people are finally figuring that out.

I almost got sidetracked into listening to "Ep. 014 Why Not 17 Vaginas?" instead, but I'm not falling for such obvious click bait.

Those were fun times. I need to get back on GU podcast, so many games to talk about. I will have switch 2 day one and thats fake E3 week.

I use a hard case compatible with the Hori Split Pad Compact controllers. It's much thicker than I was expecting but works well.
Why does it taste like gherkins?
Nice!
My Switch 2 case arrived.
It has a hard front, padded back, has a side slot for a bottle or accessories.
A security slot for your wallet.
A combination lock built in, various inside compartments and a USB pass through for external charging.
Good thing or bad?

Only MS can say, I think. Doesn't sound like it's doing as well as the previous games. It's my favorite in this modern trilogy.
American yellow mustard is awesome on hotdogs and ham sandwiches.
