Silent Hill: Townfall confirmed for PS5 and PC
13.02.26 - Konami announces that Silent Hill: Townfall will launch in Europe for PlayStation 5 and PC in 2026.
Set in 1996 on the cold, isolated Scottish island of St. Amelia, Silent Hill: Townfall tells an independent story within the series. Simon Ordell returns there to put things in order and finds a seemingly abandoned city shrouded in fog.
Apart from his clothes, he only wears an IV bag and a medical bracelet with his name on it. Voices from a portable TV called CRTV guide him. In the first-person view, he explores the environment, dodges dangers and fights with a limited arsenal.
Story-based puzzles bring fragments of his past to light. Developed by Screen Burn and published by Annapurna Interactive and Konami, the title continues the psychological horror motifs of the series and combines mystery, tragedy and loss with new impulses.
Ubisoft sent me an email yesterday stating I need to accept their updated user data collection agreement in order to keep using my Ubisoft account.
Hmm, I don't remember creating one. 0_O Did their BOTW clone (I can't remember the name) require an account?
Edit: I remember now. It was the Anno 1800 PS5 demo required an account.
Every freaking Ubi game wants you to have an account.
Yeah, I don't think it's just one Ubisoft game. I know I had to spend 10 minutes setting something up in order to play the BotW clone, Immortals: Fenix Rising.... That game really was shit too.
I just watched yesterday's State of Play. Not bad overall. I'm sure people who follow game news and development more closely might have been bored, but since I don't have a clue what the hell's going on these days, I enjoyed it.
Kena: Scars of Kosmora looks nice. I wasn't aware it was a sequel to an earlier game that was described as a Pixar version of elden ring. That kind of amuses me.
Control: Resonant, RE9, and Pragmata all still look good
Crimson Moon looks interesting
Rayman 30th anniversary looks kind of weak in my opinion. They haven't released a game in that series in over a decade, and they're just going to give us the first few games in the series again? Seems like there should be more.
Mina the Hollower really should not have taken that long to develop. It's a game boy color game I forgot sakes. What the hell has yacht club games been doing for the past decade?
Project Windless looks like a Musou starring a chicken. That said I don't hate the idea.
I hate the way The New Castlevania game looks. I've never liked that dead cells aesthetic. And why does Trevor look like Sonja?
Silent Hill Townfall looked cool, but you never know what you're getting with a silent Hill game. Might be great, might be utter crap.
Hopefully John wick is good.
And I've never liked the fighting games that Arc System makes, but damn Marvel Tokon looks impressive.
Hello everyone, sorry I've been gone. Work has been draining. I decided to drop the Steam app for now. I had to rely on my son's laptop and it was just too much trouble at the moment. I had considered the Metal Gear Solid Collection with the Switch 2 upgrade but just decided to save my money for Resident Evil in about two weeks.
I jumped back into Hearthstone this week. I watched a guy stream it and apparently they had made some major changes to battlegrounds mode. They've changed few elements up and it's much more complex now, and almost borderline chaotic. The end result is there aren't just two or three paths to victory, and you can get a lot more creative.
I also played ducktales remastered again. I ended up streaming that and apparently found a sugar daddy level tipper in there. I got $5 now, so I'm just about prepared to quit my full-time job.
This weekend I started playing the Xbox Series X version of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. Played some more Dragon Quest VII Reimagined and God of War: Ragnarok as well.
I received my Dipatch refund funds and spent a small portion of them on Wavetale, which was 90% off at €2.99. It's an indie platformer set on a sea, where your character kind of surfs on the waves? I'm not sure what it really is yet, but it has a nice style to it, although resolution could have been better. Then again, it's a Switch1 game and I doubt the developer patched in improved resolution for Switch2.
Based on the graphical style I figured it'd be a game from a dev from the mediteranean, but it's actually a bunch of Swedes. That cought me off-guard.

KeplerL2 noted that the PS5's inner workings are already a hybrid solution of RDNA1 and ray tracing, and that the "PS6 is not entirely based on RDNA 5" either. Sony has not confirmed or commented on the information.

That was quite a good State of Play yesterday. Really like a lot of stuff there. Of particular interest:

That was fun. The story kept it fun, very cheesy and soap opera like but enjoyable nonetheless.
With a few tweaks it could be a better game, so I'm looking forward to the sequels.
Hardly used the Dragon style as I only faced Majima like 5 times. He stopped showing up.
I jumped back into Hearthstone this week. I watched a guy stream it and apparently they had made some major changes to battlegrounds mode. Bought that game 3 times. Everytime it hard crashed after the Penguin boss battle. And nothing would work to shift the game on.
