My break began yesterday as well.
Mine is actually A Christmas Carol the Musical. The Kelsey Grammer one.
Whenever someone here hears that they give me a weird stink eye look, because they've never heard of it. It was a cable tv special show, never released on Bluray or even dvd here.
It was buried on secondary tv channels with very low viewership. It's on YouTube but you have to buy it in shitty resolution.
I have a dvd copy but even on a 1080p set it looks like it was made in the 50s the picture is so bad.
Now I want to watch it in the living room on a 4ktv at 65 inches. Even Mclassic won't help.
It might be a toss up between Home Alone and Blackadder's Christmas Carol. With Home Alone, the older I get, the more I am into Kevin's interaction with Old Man Marley. I tear up at the end when he is reunited with his family.
I absolutely love Blackadder's Christmas Carol and its spin on the book's story. A merry, messy Kweznus. I wish the Blackadder special would upgrade to HD.
Speaking of Christmas Carol, the musical, I actually attended a musical version about two weeks ago.
Was it the Alan Menken one you saw?
Yes, it was.
My favorite Christmas movie is the 1966 How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Also, Die Hard 1&2 and Gremlins.
Ah, knowing what you're getting for Christmas, but having to wait until the day to play with it...
When I was 6 or 7 years old, I woke up in the middle of the night. I had heard odd sounds coming from my parents bedroom (no, not those sounds!); motorized sounds and my parents whispering. Their door was cracked open a couple of inches, so I peaked inside and saw my dad playing with one my of Chistmas toys: a Tyco electric slot car race track with configurable track layouts. OMG! I never told my parents that I knew what I was getting, and that two week wait until Christmas was unbearable!
It looks similar to this one:
I remember finding my Super Nintendo in our camper. Long, long wait for that one.
My favourite Christmas movie is Die Hard.
He was just testing it out to see if it worked.
The power draw is 45w handheld to 60w for docked.
The wattage range they say is more like an rtx 3050 equivalent.
I saw a video with the 8gb version, Digital Foundry used the 4gb version for their tests ages ago.
So the other videos run around 20 games on it to see the resolutions and framerates using DLSS.
I was quite suprised, the dude playing was keeping all the framerates at 60 or higher. Most switch owners would assume a 30fps cap, at least for 4k output.
All games he tested at over 60fps and using DLSS the games were either 1080p (a few) 1440p (the majority) and quite a few at 4k.
He did say he had a great cpu though.
Encouraging nonetheless, even though it was never rated as a great card for PC owners. Supposedly he said it was low energy, quiet and didn't generate much heat, so is a good choice for laptops or mobile devices.
I think the Switch 2 has 12gb of RAM so it should do well on image quality.
They even ran God of War and Horizon on it over 60fps
I just dug out the dvd for A Christmas carol the musical. Let's see how bad this looks...
Then some Mofo comes out of nowhere and obliterates me in seconds. How do I beat this guy?
Death on the Nile: Agatha Christie Hercule Quirot game has been announced.
By the same devs as Murder on the Orient Express. No one played that yet?
It was 10 USD on the eshop recently.
Frank Capra's 1946 It's a Wonderful Life.
Just bought it, GG.
