I have the Metroid Trilogy for the Wii but have only ever played the first game. Briefly tried some of the second. Really need to play through those before I play the fourth.
When you download a game you get a card (icon) on your system and even if you delete it you can redownload it from the icon.
You also have a list on the eshop where you can redownload any digital game you've bought.
Now I transferred my system info to the OLED and using my account I could redownload everything.
Why not just have an option to lend the game to a linked friend/family online and let it work digitally without local communication.
All this will only mean family has to come together to lend games. Strengthening the family..... and weakening my sanity.
Yeah, that Virtual Game Card stuff seemed a bit convoluted. Nintendo gonna Nintendo I guess.

Same here. I’m going to stick with physical games as much as I can anyway so no issue letting family and friends borrowing those.
Then they will use them and make a proper Endless Ocean game for Switch 2.
They did revive Endless Ocean after 12 years. There's hope.The next Endless Ocean will be a mini game in StarTropics 3.
