Returned to playing Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut on the PS5 this weekend. Very good game. Very much an Assassin’s Creed kind of game but better. Looks really nice, solid gameplay, and interesting story.

One of my regrets is never finishing that game. Its great but really long and I just didn't have time to invest in it.

Yeah, looking at the map and stuff it looks like it’ll take me awhile to finish it.

I finally tried the Epic Mickey Rebrushed PS5 demo this afternoon. Excellent remake! Fixes all the issues I had with the camera on the Wii, and it looks amazing too!

That's good news. I bought Epic Mickey on Wii and Vita and could not play due to the inverted horizontal camera. Twice bitten, I am shy about picking it up again though...

Working gyro aiming?

I bought the Sega Genesis collection. A lot of rubbish games and a few I like.

I find the menu the worst thing about these collections.

The Switch Online menu is perfect, all the games laid out clearly with retro box art.

The demo does have an option to enable or disable both the horizontal and vertical inverted camera separately.

Yes gyro works fine on PS5. Unfortunately, I had to disable it and use dual-analogue controls, which still work great. Gyro controls on gamepads flares up my wrist tendonitis badly; I learned that lesson with Luigi's Mansion 3 and RE4 Remake.

Final Fantasy XIV making good progress on Nintendo consoles and they hope to share more info soon. Yeah, they’re totally bringing this to the Switch 2 but have to wait for Nintendo to reveal the system first. Nintendo really need to unveil their new system soon so that these companies can also reveal the games that they’ll have on it as well.

Damn, I favourite a good chunk of games on my Genesis collection.

And I've been going through the rest of the games 1 by 1.

And GODAMN there is a lot of pure junk on this collection. Virtually every other game outside my favourites are terrible.

Landstalker, Bonanza Bros, Kid Chameleon, Alex Kidd, Biohazard Battle, Gain Ground, Flickr, the list goes on and on.

I think the only okay games I played were Dynamite Heady and Decapattack.

Treasure were certainly on another level to most other devs.

Should be revealed in September according to most rumors.

I certainly hope so. If they’re planning to release it in the first half of 2025 then they’re going to have to reveal it real soon.

I wonder how many titles will be ready for the release window of Switch2. Since the release seems to have been pushed back a full year I'd be disappointed if it's not a full on avalanche.

The third party launch lineup should be pretty strong, although I think most of those games won't exactly be brand new. Over the past year, there's been a lot of little leaks by developers who mentioned that their new releases would also be available on the next Nintendo console. The new Mana game for instance, was one of those I believe.

I'm very curious what will be the first party offerings. Metroid and....Mario?

A 3D Mario has to be a launch title. It's been a long time.

I wouldn't be shocked if Mario kart is launch title. If I'm not mistaken it was the top selling game on the Switch, Wii U, and Wii if you don't count Wii sports. Then again, I remember reading something back in 2018 or so and Mario kart Wii was still selling like 40,000 copies a year.
