In my exp it is fairly common practice to cook on the weekend and store the food so that it can be heated up during the week for either lunch or dinner.
I don't do it (I don't eat lunch or breakfast) but a lot of people I've lived with have. The other alternative is either buying lunch every day, or eating processed foods like microwave meals (or in your case making meals daily).
Keep in mind in the US and the way I operate in Australia, we are generally "time poor" working extremely long hours or having long commutes so by the time we get home we don't have the energy to cook. If I did not have to cook for the family I'd skip dinner most nights.
Been playing through the Mega Man games along with some Modern Warfare III multiplayer.
That's admirable.

This weekend has been "comfort food" gaming for me. Friday evening and Saturday, I've been working my way through all Mario Kart 8 DLC trying to get 3-stars on every track; I've completed all of the 50cc, 100cc and most of the 150cc races so far. Looking forward to trying out Mirror mode and 200cc soon.
This morning, I started a new game of Mario Odyssey. I figured I'd play for an hour or so, but I've been playing it all day while cooking my meals for the work week.
I tried to download a Game Under podcast 157 with the right click download option on my phone but link doesn't appear to be. It's failed every time I try it.

Yup. I make my work day dinners on weekends to save time after work and to avoid the temptation of eating out. I usually eat breakfast and skip lunch.

Thank you for letting me know. It was pointing to ep 156, I have fixed it now.
Immortals Fenyx Rising, has been inadvertently nostalgic. Do you guys remember the Battle for Olympus on the NES? It was a game that very heavily borrowed from Zelda 2. It had nearly the same aesthetic, but With a setting in ancient Greece, a lot more items, more story, etc. Now we have Immortals essentially doing the same thing but with breath of the wild.
I always said I'd like to see Battle for Olympus revisited, and I suppose this is as close as I'm going to get.

I do remember that game indeed. I think I played it a little but can’t recall for but do definitely recall seeing game in magazines and the box art.

I bought Rive since it was $2.
This weekend I did not get much gametiem in. I did start A Plague Tale Innocence. Very "B-game" vibes, which for me is a good sign.
My daughter has been hogging the gaming PC to play Rocket League and Sonic & SEGA Allstar Racing Transformed.
How does that work? We just cook every day.

I saw a video on YT last year about Battle for Olympus. First time I'd ever heard of it. Looked like it would be a good game. .
