So the House has been in debate for months about killing Tik Tok. Folks, Teams is right fucking there! Easy slam dunk.
What's going on in American politics and other so called democracies. It seems the politicians just do what ever the biggest donors want, even against the will of the public. I'm starting to feel like democracy is an illusion. There's no real alternatives either.
Last 2 and a half hours of the indie sale.
Still not sure what to get.
BTW I was in a gamestore looking to expand my 360 collection and was left a bit perplexed.
There was a huge section of Halo, similarly large ones for COD and Gears of War.
The only other games that looked mildly interesting were Prey and Prototype, they had a few Far Crys too. I'm leaning towards Far Cry but the idea of analogue stick FPS puts me off.
There's a substantial Ass Creed section.
What other games could you guys recommend? I have Tomb Raider, Batman, Enslaved, Dishonoured etc.
US is mostly an oligarchy now.
All forms of government that tell the people they have any part in running things is an illusion. The best solution is to not watch the news, or if you do, do it only for entertainment value.
^That includes the UK by the way. I don't think you'll see a discernable difference with PM Starmer. It's all pantomime.
GG, Prey is fantastic. Sort of a low rent Bioshock. If you don't have a physical copy of Batman Origins then you may want to pick that up. You cant get it on digital
Check out Shatner's new album cover created by AI. Lol
That's a ... joke ..right?
Oh, it's real. Inlove that it looks like Shat works out his left arm but not his right.
I stopped voting a long time ago as I felt there was no real choice or change. And politicians here wonder why people get angry at politicians. Brexit happened partially as a reflection of that anger.
But the anger continues as there's still no real change and people's lives are getting worse after covid and Ukraine etc
Not a big Bioshock fan, though I wad tempted to get it on sale to give it another chance.
I have Batman Origins on Wii U.
For some reason 360 Amazing Spiderman is still £18 years later, same for the Orange Box.
Although at times the dynamic resolution of Snowrunner kicks in making it blurrier. There are some benefits to the Switch version.
For a start it actually looks very good portable, not as detailed ad docked but much cleaner and free of defects, the resolution is more consistent and the picture looks better shrunk down. But also given the hundreds of hours you'll be playing this, it's great to play whilst watching TV or listening to the news.
When the dynamic resolution goes high, it actually looks quite impressive and if I turn on Mclassic it can look beyond what you'd expect on Switch.
When it goes blurry, Mclassic is a godsend here.
I spotted something unexpected in a 2nd hand game store. Xbox 360 Sega dreamcast collection. Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5 (2), Sonic Adventure and another one I can't remember.
Seems like national news has decided to do a piece on what's currently hot in gaming every so many weeks. Main story is a documentary about how incredibly toxic the online playing field is towards women. They also talk about the succes of Fallout, and have a section about games they're looking forward to.
Good to see this kind of recognition for gaming in the mainstream press.
Samsung set to make most of Nintendo Switch 2? From OLED screen, to memory and Chip set (Korean article)
Here's hoping there's not too much bloatware installed
Can't stand that on phones.
So I realised what I enjoy about Snowrunner and Mudrunner.
Emergent gameplay. Remember when Oblivion came out and we all had ridiculous weird stories about things that happened that were unique to each player?
It happens in Snowrunner a lot. Its that moment when things go wrong that stick in your mind. When you have to do ridiculous and daring things to pull yourself back from the brink.
I faced an impossible situation trying to drag a small trailer up a cliff with a scout vehicle. I was webbing from tree to tree like Spiderman. Dropping back, getting stuck, making tortuous progress inch by inch, rapidly losing fuel.
Then at the top I got stuck and my wheels starting spinning and I couldn't make that last leap to get to flat land. But I had a feeling that if I strategically chose my winch point and used a mega powerful fast gear (risk of flipping on a steep cliff) I could make it. When I did the feeling of elation and satisfaction rushed through me.
Then there was a situation picking up multiple pieces of cargo around a tiny island where some hermit lived.
I decided for once to load up a trailer big enough to carry 5 pieces of cargo so I wouldn't have to make multiple trips. This works in Mudrunner as most levels are fairly flat and open. In Snowrunner having a long trailer can be a liability. I faced hell getting to the location. Then I picked up 4 pieces of cargo, and get stuck in the sand with no winch point for the final piece.
I had to return in a different truck to try and rescue the trailer, but I didn't have the right saddle to attach the trailer, so I couldn't unpack the cargo to lift with my crane. I couldn't winch the trailer out as I would have to be positioned too far out into the river.
So I winched the side of the trailer, the cargo I thought would be lost like Mudrunner, instead the physics engine had the cargo tumble out the side of the overturned trailer. At which point I drove up and used my crane to nab it and complete the mission.
Another Nintendo Switch 2 leak has emerged and this time it is from Business Korea. The Korean publication claims a number of things, including that we could be seeing the Switch 2 release at the end of the year after all. The site also says that Samsung is the main component provider for the platform and that the system will use NVIDIA’s Tegra T239 chip, which means it would be similar in power to Sony’s PlayStation 4 with some ray tracing capabilities and DLSS. You can read the main points from the article in this handy summary from Reddit member Fidler_2K:
Important points:
Switch 2 is expected to launch as early as the second half of this year
Suppliers have reportedly reached a considerable degree of agreement for initial production contracts.
Samsung Foundry will fabricate the SoC on Samsung’s 7LPH process node
Samsung will provide the NAND storage for both the cartridges and internal memory
Samsung has overcome competitors from China to be the display supplier
This information has also been corroborated by OreXda, primarily a leaker for Samsung Electronics products:
The Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to launch as early as the second half of this year. Significant contracts have already been negotiated in the component industry for initial production.
Tegra T239 – produced by Samsung Foundry 7LPH
Display – Samsung OLED
With the exception that LCD models may be released first (Using Sharp Display)

Yeah, business article, confirmed by leaker. Not a leaker revealing it. Sounds legit. Also it seems to have magnetic joycons.
