Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Review
6/10 Original gameplay has been preserved and is unapologetically outdatedthesixthaxis.com editorial impressions news aspro
Sounds like it's procedurally generated for randomness like a roguelike? And the multiplayer thing it ridiculous. Who the hell goes on scuba group dives with 30 people? And the name tag handles literring the screen makes everything look messy.
I also recognised a couple of the environments from the previous games, the abyss and one of the temples. Now I'm wondering if they've repurposed the environments from the first game, then made the focus less on story and rpg elements and more on random multiplayer dives.
For the first time since I adopted my dog 7 years ago, she has to wear the terrible cone of shame. She somehow got a small but deep puncture wound on her side and the vet had to put several staples to hold it closed. She has to wear the cone of shame for the next 10 days.
I tried the new Contra game demo on PS5. It's a fun game and looks great at 4K.
I also tried the Switch version, which looks good but has some noticable frame rate stuttering; hopefully, they'll iron those out before release next month.

Seems kinda expensive. I thought it would be a digital friendly price.
Sorry about your dog. Sounds painful.
The comments on the Endless Ocean Luminous video on YouTube are precious. There are people who became vets and actual scuba divers or marine biologists because of this game. Kids who got through hospital trauma playing the wii game. People who have fond memories of playing the games endlessly with their friends, brothers, sisters and mothers.
And these people freak out when they're told there's a sequel announced.

Thanks, guys. The hard plastic cone the vet put on her sucked and looked extremely unconfortable, so I bought this for $35. Expensive but worth it. She likes it much better and fell asleep.
Mother 3 will never get a translation due to a group of characters that are basically portrayed as drag queens, and a couple scenes that they're involved in. In 2008 they were a bit questionable. Today, they would probably make a lot of people mad. I couldn't tell you if it would be genuine outrage or fashionable foe outrage, hasn't been just long enough. I don't remember all the specifics of those scenes, but either way Nintendo of America doesn't want any part of it.
That said, the fan translation that's floating around out there is very easy to find and it is 100% a professional level job. I have played a lot of fan translated games, and I can tell you that this is probably the best I've ever come across. Not only is the translation good, but they even maintained that quirky sense of humor that the series has. If you haven't played it, it is absolutely worth grabbing an emulator and trying it out. I know when I did my top 100 game list several years ago, that was a top 20 game, and I don't think my opinion has changed in that time.
Good on you for getting your dog the donut collar. Those things are so much better for the pups. Cones of shame just make them seem miserable. Hope she heals quickly.
Man, that Bungie/Sony story wasn't nearly as juicy as I was hoping for. I was really hoping the Sony boss was going to end it with something like, "what the fuck were we thinking when we bought them? We could have just left them as Microsoft's problem."

It's still pretty brazen for public facing statements. This is the temporary president who is not really connected with gaming.
I love it, he should get a podcast! He could call it "Get Your Shit Together"
You were like 80 when it launched.
A bit worried about the Endless Ocean 3 trailer.

Yes, yes I was.
Yeah, me too!
Bitches!
Hmm, seems there's Japan specific stuff not shown in out direct. Some cool looking Astral Chain like game? Mother 3 on NSO and more.
Yeah, saw that Japan is getting Mother 3. They really need to translate it and release it in other regions already.

I read this post to the tune of We Didn't Start the Fire.
That's ARF-ful. I hope doggie gets better soon.
Shame there's no app that works like Google translate and can Overlay Japanese text boxes with the translated equivalent.

Wishing your dog a speedy recovery Raven.
Endless Ocean!

That's my view/ memory of events as well.
