I’m not really into football. Did watch the overtime portion of the Super Bowl. Happy that the Chiefs won. Wouldn’t have wanted to see a disappointed Taylor Swift. LOL

I literally only watched one Super bowl commercial. The State Farm ad with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito. LOL

Yeah, that was a great ad. LOL

As were mine. Seriously, what's with her foot? It's like her leg just ends in a stump?

So that IGN Joe, looks like it's going to be more like a PAX Expo rather than an E3. That's a little disappointing, but definitely not a surprise. Those PAX shows draw massive crowds, so why wouldn't you have something similar a thousand miles away in one of the biggest cities in the world?

That said, I really would like to see some kind of industry show take e3's place properly. I always thought it was a good benefit to fans and the industry as a whole to have a big centralized showcase.

E3 was always the biggest revenue/ traffic for IGN based on what they've said on various podcasts, so they need to keep building back teh "E3" hype. Maybe with their show, combined with the Keighly events they can get something going.  It' ambitious on their part though.

I hope the rumored new Astrobot game isn't just for VR. I enjoyed the one on PS5.

Last night I played about halfway through both Super Castlevania IV and Castlevania Bloodlines (Castlevania Collection on Switch) and had a great time.

However, both looked like a sea of sharp pixels on my 4K TV. Bloodlines fared a bit better than IV but was still way too pixelated to be enjoyable, so I tried the scanlines/CRT filter options. M2 did this port and their emulation is excellent for the most part but I'm usually not a fan of CRT filters; most are too dark and/or too blurry.

The Castlevania and Contra collections are, thankfully, not like that. Both games look pretty good with the filter on once I got used to it. Both games look similar enough to how I remember playing them years ago. I wish these collections offered more options for customizing these filters, though.

I watched the first 5 minutes and felt pretty confident nothing of real importance would be shared.

So Lara Croft's redesign is her original 90's outfit? I prefer her modern reboot look more. Hopefully, it'll turn out to be a good game.

I doubt VR; MS hasn't shown any interest in it so far. I'm expecting either an Xbox portable or, more likely, a new Series console to match the rumored PS5 Pro. Or maybe an Xbox cloud streaming stick?

MS showed some interest in working on augmented reality a few years ago. I don't know if they abandoned that or not though, but they said they thought there was more promise in that for gaming than VR.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about their augmented reality tech. I haven't heard about it in a while.

Hololens is still kicking around. It's an enterprise tool MS is not pushing it for consumer market:
