I assume the Capcom Fighting Collection didn't sell well either. I'm glad I have all of them on it.
There's a series I haven't played yer. I tried a demo of the first one on PS3 years ago. I liked it but never got around to getting the full game.
Interesting to see how the consumer will get screwed somehow: (it sounds like a good deal on the face of it).
ESPN, Warner Bros., and Fox are Combining to Create a New Sports Streaming Service
https://www.ign.com/articles/espn-warner-bros-and-fox-are-combining-to-create-a-new-sports-streaming-service
ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery are teaming up to create a new service that will put their various linear channels and select other content under one streaming umbrella.
The new service is in effect a focused version of services like Fubo and Roku, promising to "provide a new and differentiated experience to serve sports fans, particularly those outside of the traditional pay TV bundle."
The unnamed service promises to include content from the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL, as well as college sports, UFC, Formula 1, the World Cup, and more. It'll be available as a standalone service via an app or through a bundle with Disney+, Hulu, and/or Max. Some of the available channels will include:
The new service will also include content from ESPN+, which includes content such as German soccer and the NHL. ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros will each own one-third of the new venture.
Thats sounds too good to be true. I would bundle with Disney and hulu if its not outrageous. Something tells me it will be.
Muhammed Ali in WWE 2k24?
I hope it is not the pre-Parkinsons Ali.
I wonder how many people will create a Vince McMahon character in WWE 2K24.
Knew I’d forget some Capcom games. Would definitely love a new Darkstalkers game as well. Did get that Fighting game Collection they released for it. Got both the Xbox and PlayStation versions.
I could basically get rid of YouTube tv if that's works out. But they still have damn Sunday ticket.
Looks like it.
There is always a catch hey?
My Microsoft announcement prediction.
The will announce that they are releasing games X Y and Z onto PS5, Switch, Epic and Steam.
They will say that this is part of a new way of sharing the tremendous talents of Microsoft Game Studios with the whole gaming world and to demonstrate the value of Gamepass. In the future, we will be sharing a select number of titles across many platforms, but never at launch, for that you need Game Pass.
I'd say as part of their discovery on the Activision purchase they saw what they would have already guessed, which is how much money is to be made when you can make one game and bring it to all platforms.
That sounds so boring that it might juts turn out to be true.
Yeah I've been thinking about it all day and it seems the obvious direction. They are not going to go out and spend 70 billion on Activision then say "Fuckit, we're out!"
You're right, but I wonder why they'll announce that 1st party stuff will go multiplat as well. That Activision stuff stays multiplatform, bar a few releases to entice people to buy the MS branded box, makes sense. But buying Activision is no reason to have 1st party stuff release on the competition. Perhaps they'll go the Sony route for non-GaaS type games like you propose.
I can see Xbox becoming digital only, then a streaming device and in the end just an app though. Their interest is to lock people in their ecosystem and if they can do that with GamePass without the R&D cost of developing a console, why wouldn't they?
Lure in Playstation users with prior exclusive franchises and the promise of cross play, then have them jump to GamePass for $14.99 a month with no upfront cost to purchase extra hardware. Would Sony and Nintendo really say no to MS when they offer them to bring their games to their consoles?
Don't think it's Nintendo blocking Netflix, unless I haven't heard something? YouTube, Crunchyroll and Funimation are on Switch. Netflix and the rest were on wii u too.
I never really used the Wii for Netflix, but the WiiU with its touch screen that doubled as a second screen was a godsend.
I'm 60 hours into Octopath Traveler 2.
Although I was enjoying it a great deal, part of me was thinking it wasn't quite as good as the first game. Mostly because of a touch of repetition that the first game covered and a lot less caves to delve into.
Now I'm nearing the endgame, chapter 4 will all characters, I can categorically say that it is as good as the first game. There's so much depth to the game and combat, yet it remains wholly intuitive.
There were some suprise story twists I want expecting that elevated 'supposed' boring story beats. I bought a freaking ship! And suddenly I'm exploring the ocean and discovering new islands and caves, secret items and powerful game ending foes.
I captured these powerful bosses as one character can capture monsters like pokemon. So now this animal eared chirpy awesome hunter girl calls out these freaking hilariously huge, overpowered beasts.
There's also SO many towns in this game, it keeps giving.
Only problem I have with the game is that it doesn't do a great job tracking side quests or giving you any objective indicators for them.
It would also be cool to have the ability to mark the map for places you want go get back to investigate, as some areas are too dangerous to enter when you discover them.
The game also doesn't evenly level your unused characters which would mean tedious grinding, but the characters level up so quickly and the combat is so fast and flashy it never feels tedious to beef someone up.
