How to Zoom in/out in games and menus on the Nintendo Switch
How is this not marked as 'big news'?
Can confirm it's pretty much a full on remake.
Cant get my head around the controls though.
Using handheld:
There are 4 styles. I tried the original GC style and it would be okay if I could button map. But you can't.
So I tried the dual stick and there's no pointer controls. It feels very odd to me to only aim with the right stick.
Tried the Wii style gyro controls, no advanced mode. So you have to bash the sides of the screen, almost Red Steel style to turn the camera.
You can alter the sensitivity. It's going to take some tweaking for handheld play. But if the bounding box remains as big as it is, it won't work.
The only option that works for me is original + gyro aka Hybrid mode.
You have original movement and lock on etc. And if you hold ZR you get to use motion controls for aiming.
Singing telegrams, yes.
You could text and phone. No pictures or nuthin
your earlier comment about singing telegrams is becoming more and more credible.
I'm not a big fan of smartphones myself. I only use mine for work, calls and checking 2 or 3 websites. I have anger managment issues when I see the wife being fully absorbed in the endless stream of non-consciousness of facebook. I can't get over the fact that humankind's greatest achievement is being used to hoard gifs of cats and to bring down the self esteem and happiness of so many people. It's the equivalent of the invention of the wheel if it had only been used to play wheel of fortune.
Wii style pointer controls work fine in TV mode. Probably need to tweak the settings for portable.
Game looks awesome. Maybe the best remake/port I've seen. Better than the Twilight Princess Wii U game.
It does that thing where it tricks you into thinking that, that's the way you remember it. Even if comparisons show its been completely remade.
Awesome lighting too. May even be level pegging with Crysis 2 for best looking game on the system.
Although it's still excellent, I feel like handheld mode is the worst way to play it.
The visuals look much more detailed in docked. And you can't use wii style pointer controls in handheld mode, at all really.
It's really weird as the hybrid mode motion controls work perfectly so I'm not sure what's going on here. Other shooters work excellently with gyro controls in handheld.
I'm pretty sure it's the bounding box being set far too wide.
So docked with pointer controls looks and feels new.
Handheld mode feels like playing the OG game on a portable.
Even though the graphics are better it's noticibe that it's blurrier than docked. And some of the textural detail is lost.
Finished listing my entire N64 collection except for DK64 as I need to dig out the expansion pack.
Some prices are ridiculous. I've tried to match price and condition parity with other sellers.
Aside from the sealed in retail store case games which sell for 2000 USD or more, my games are pretty much at the top end of condition.
Sales will generate enough money to get a new console. Not that I'll use it.
It's too much of a pain to get my N64 running. Need a new power adaptor and line doubler. Then run it through MClassic and have wires sticking everywhere.
Wish Nintendo would actually sell N64 games instead of the switch subscription model.
Yes! Please! Maybe even honor previous purchases made the the Wii U and Wii.
That would be nice. I've already bought, rebought, and paid an upgrade fee for enough games from Nintendo at this point in my life. If they don't want to honor those purchases, that's fine. But I'm done buying them yet another time.
BTW guys if you own a mint condition Conkers Bad Fur Day, it could be worth over 900 USD.
I went to the underwater base in Prime remastered. Went all the way to the bottom before the game said that progress was hindered by lack of water suit.
Problem is that movement is severely impeded and the exit is at a room right at the top.
You have multiple floating platforms to navigate and these indestructible sea creatures that send you back flying as soon as you land.
You fall all the way back to the bottom.
This is painful.
When they started portioning everything off into a higher and more expensive tier, they can get lost.
Yep, it feels more tedious than buying just what I want.
