We also buy vinyl now in lieu of cds. Most of it is used albums that we find in secondhand stores, but we occasionally will buy reissues and on the occasion something new comes out we like we buy that too. I think the last new record we bought was Ozzy's last album.
Valve just announced the Steam Deck. Think a switch lite with better specs and a full windows OS.
A lot of EG gamers think it'll do well, even compete with the Switch. I think it's niche and Valve will have buried it in 2 years or less.

Yeah I don't see it being very successful. The only audience I really see it for is people with kids who want a portable device for Minecraft and fortnite. Games that are already on the switch.
Not sure who the steam deck is marketed for. I feel PC owners tend to be more KB mouse at a desk players than ones that will take a portable. It's a great value proposition when compared to the switch, way more power and going to have way more games. Still I don't do portable much so no thanks.
Completed Noir Chronicles, another Artifex Mundi hidden object game. Not great, and for some reason even though the game is set in America, 80% of the voice acting is in English regional accents. Its like some alternative universe where Americans lost the war of independence.
Why didn't someone tell me Sunset Overdrive was so fun?
Because it isn't.
I gave up on it after a couple of hours a few years ago when I got hung up on a platforming challenge. I came back to it last year and got past that immediately.
It has some politically incorrect cosplay- chr-creation elements that kept my interest on a second play through, but again interest waned after a few more play sessions.

Or people with kids and can;t get enough time on a PC or TV. Just saying.
Stuck on the final boss of Sunderered, well I think he's the final boss? Started Jotun. It's far slower paced than I thought. I thought it would have been more like Bastion. I like the screen filling bosses. However I don't get how they can have boss attacks that it's virtually impossible to dodge. The dodge button literally takes you about halfway the distance to dodge the attack. So you get hit anyway. Finding it difficult sofar and there's no selectable difficultly. Edit: secret armpit hiding spot for boss? Oh not as hard as I thought. Also bought Syberia 3 on hobo discount but still costs as much as Bioshock infinite on sale. Syberia 3, I know its going to be bad but I had to get it to see where the series goes. The 4th game is already looking a lot better.
Zelda SS HD looks incredibly good for a Wii game. The 60fps and better resolution makes it look like any switch game honestly. I am playing with motion controls and they are good, sword play works great but when doing the flying and other motion activities it's not as good as the Wiimote. It's necessary to recalibrate by hitting Y a lot as the control will be wonky if you don't.
Stick controls work great too. With simple flicks of the R stick you can swing in any direction. Problem is you have you finger on the r stick now so you can't have it on dodge. Also when moving around you must hold L to use the camera on R since touching R stick starts sword combat. But the flying, falling and so on use the normal left stick and it's so great. I wish there was a hybrid control for motion with sword play but flying with the stick.
Oh it doesn't let you start in hero mode which is such shit. It's still SS so I'm loving it, two dungeons down and next is my favorite one. I prefer this style of zelda more than BOTW.

Yeah I’m kind of skeptical about how well that Steam Deck system will do also. I don’t really see it putting up much competition for the Switch.

It's pretty large though, measuring at nearly 30cm wide.
You can log in with a Microsoft account and play Gamepass games. You can use an Epic game store account. Gog.com account should work.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
30cm?? Damn. That's significantly larger than the Wii U pad. "Portable" doesn't mean what it once did.

I played it for a bit but just kind of stopped for whatever reason. I should try to get back into it.

Steam deck not available for preorder in Australia.
